The US believes that Russia appears to be gaining momentum in the two-year conflict. They are considering the possibility of sending additional military advisers to the embassy in Kyiv, reports Politico.
Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder stated that advisers would not have a combat role but would advise and support the Ukrainian government and armed forces.
"Throughout this conflict, the Department of Defense has reviewed and adjusted the U.S. presence in Ukraine as security conditions change. We are currently considering the possibility of sending several additional advisers to enhance the Defense Cooperation Office (ODC) at the embassy," Ryder said in a statement to Politico.

My only brother was a Vietnam Veteran...U.S. Army...25th Infantry Division...CuChi, Vietnam...1966-67.
May Hell! They will if they haven’t already.
Because the idiots thought invading Russia was a good idea.
But Russia really doesn't play all that well on the road.
The warrior class is no longer allowing their kids to sign up for the military.
Doubtful. I have an acquaintance who is a vet with a chest full of combat decorations. He’s happily sending his kid to a service academy.
Zeepers are not about to volunteer. All they want is the money from it and other people to die. They are a slimy bunch.
MACV
Yep, they are spinning it up for the long term.
I noticed.
But if they TRULY believed the BS they spout they’d rush to volunteer.
Your examples and analysis miss the mark. You conflate the communist USSR (Soviet Union) with the newly-emerged independent Christian nation-state of Russia. These are two very distinct and disparate entities, politically, culturally, historically and militarily. In 1965 and prior, Russia was not sending advisors anywhere it was the Soviet Union and the KGB and the Communists which were doing it. The threat to Russia now is NATO establishing a nuclear foothold on it’s very doorstep. It is no secret NATO has had an open invitation to Ukraine to become a member for some time. Putin’s concerns are reasonable ones. Trump tried to straighten out NATO, a treaty organization that has outlived its usefulness, eternally living off US largesse. It promised to avoid creeping involvement in the direction of Russia, only to end up doing the exact opposite when Trump lost the Presidency in 2020. Stolen elections do have consequences.
“Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder stated that advisers would not have a combat role but would advise and support the Ukrainian government and armed forces.”
I’m old enough that this seems strangely familiar.
Probably ALL on weffare.
Yep. “Advisors” wink, wink, nod, nod.
Sac, the US Navy ships heading to Gaza Strip to build a floating pier have been turned back. Mechanical issues.
The Joint mission of Army Engineers and Navy Sailors is cancelled.
If this was a real deployment, it would have been SEABEES. I’m just an old Army grunt. I’ve worked with all Services.
Tip of the hat to Navy SEABEES. They could build an entire coastal resort town, with pier and harbor, in about three weeks.
Instead, the POTATUS and modern DOD sent a barge full of half-ass floaties across the Atlantic that had to turn around and come home.
This is nothing more than a marxist vendetta against Russia for betraying the cause of marxism.
Imagine:
Question: How did did the big hole in Central Park get made?
Answer: It got made by a surplus Russian ICBM.
Question: When did it get made?
Answer: Just before the first voting of the 2024 election.
Question: Did civil defense sirens sound?
Answer: If yes, people panicked. If no, people will be upset because they did not get a chance to hide in the subway system.
AND they won't be able to tell us how OUR money is being spent...
The Russians by advancing broadly have shown they control the battlefield.
If the war drags on, Putin will finish off Ukraine rather than lose power.
“they won’t be able to tell us how OUR money is being spent”
You’re helping to buy villas in Provence.
But, unfortunately, you won’t be living in any of the villas you helped pay for.
I guess the good news is that the U.S. won’t be able to find enough retarded people to fight a stupid war in Ukraine.
