Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) raged at Republicans lawmakers on the House floor for opposing an aid package to Ukraine before Saturday’s vote.
The House passed a $61 billion aid bill for Ukraine amid the country’s current war with Russia. Lawmakers also passed other bills providing assistance to Taiwan and other U.S. allies.
Hardline conservative lawmakers opposed the bipartisan legislation by arguing the money should have gone towards security at the U.S. southern border. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) worked with Democratic lawmakers to bring the aid bills to the floor and ensured it’s passage.
Connolly responded to those complaints by noting that the “the Ukrainian-Russian border is our border” and is vital to U.S. national security.
“Some say, well, we have to deal with our border first,” the Virginia lawmaker said during his speech. “The Ukrainian-Russian border is our border! It’s the border between depraved autocracy and freedom loving people seeking our democratic way of life! Do we have a stake in that outcome? Yes. Undeniably, yes.”

I agree we have lost our great nation.. In the last years.
And we can make a logical reason..
When TV came out in the 40s, where people had them in their homes.. They said tv would be the downfall of home and kids.
They said the same when pcs were in our homes.
What was on tv then, Was family compared to what is on tv now.
I got a new 55 in tv recently, and I have yet to see what all is on it. So far, it’s too much.
TV in the 40s..50s went off air st 10:30 after the news.. There were 3 networks, only..
They are trying to make humans.
Person with no soul.. God might come down and say no.
Man doesn’t stop doing more and more..
Adding.. The nation has turned away from God. Family life is not what it used to be. Both parents working, or not home when their kids are. WWII, women went to work.
Fixing supper and eating around the table, was replaced by McDonald’s.
No time for God in the home..we all had a car.. 2 even.
Things changed.. And not for the better..
The election of the Clintons and what they presented, bothered me a lot.. And with Obama, God was replaced with the sound of the call to prayer.
The people accepted God gone.
It’s not our border, and if it was, you wouldn’t be lifting
a finger to help protect it Connolly.
Obama’s riches increased over 5,000% after he became POTUS. Maybe some day they will figure out how well Biden did. Trump lost a lot of money.

This guy is an embarrassment. Intellectually deficient. The statement he made should get him removed from US Congress and run out of town but his district is filled with complacent, brainwashed government workers.
They won’t tell us because they were probably involved.
I think after this vote and this traitorous display it is gloves off and game on for our side. We can’t let this behavior stand without responding.
So gimme this again...that’s how the Democrat got elected to the US Congress?
By promising his American constituents in Va that he would protect the Ukranian border for them?
