Alan Dershowitz, a longtime trial lawyer and former attorney for Donald Trump, says that the ex-president's jury at his New York hush money trial is bad news for his one-time client.
Following three days of legal wrangling a panel of seven men and five women has now been selected and they will assess his guilt or innocence over the coming weeks.
Dershowitz, 85, says that the makeup of the jurors - who include a corporate lawyer, an investment banker, a software engineer and a teacher - suggest Trump will fare poorly.

The supposed “felony” violation is that Trump did something, which if he had not done it, would be illegal. If he had paid the hush money from campaign funds, that would be illegal. But because he paid with his own money, they are saying he did something illegal. They are saying he should have used campaign funds to pay Stormy Daniels. Bizarro world. So Bill Clinton should have used campaign funds to pay Paula Jones. The congress has paid $17 million to hundreds of people who sued members of congress for discrimination, harassment, etc. None of these members of congress have been or will be prosecuted for NOT using campaign funds for these payments.

Interesting and valid points. Thanks for sharing. I think it may come down to peer pressure—a juror may be conservative at heart, they don’t want to be the one to save the evil DJT and be ostracized by family, friends,co-worked, etc. I pray that at least one s made of stronger stuff.

This will require tens of thousands of federal, state, and local government officials, along with members of the enemedia, be indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States.

My younger sister bought into Q - hook, line and sinker. She believes everyone who doesn’t believe in Q is living in some kind of sleep-state and everything we think we know is just an illusion - like The Matrix.
Talking to these Q believers reminds me of this high school friend I had that smoked a lot of weed and got a little too deep into the Lord of the Rings JRR Tolkien series. At times he would talk like that was real and not just a story.
But like I said in my other post - at least these Q people have their hearts in the right place - they may be fools but they are innocent fools - they truly support Trump and MAGA and the Republic. Which is more than I can say for a lot of fair-weather FReepers who seem to care more about saying “I told you so” than they care about actually saving the Republic.
So my sister believes in Q fantasies - I can live with that - she’s a good and harmless person. Sort of like if someone believes in religious stuff that I don’t believe in… as long as they aren’t using religion to start a Jihad or a Spanish Inquisition - I don’t see any harm in it.

This trial is totally rigged and will find Trump guilty. The liberal wet dream of Trump in handcuffs being hauled off to Rikers Island convicted of a non crime could happen. The RINO Uniparty would then nominate another Romney and senile Biden will be back in the White House in an orchestrated landslide of phony votes.
However, will the people who don’t live in the leftist havens of the east and west coasts accept this just like they begrudgingly donned face masks to flatten the COVID curve? I think not. People of all but the most leftist stripe are fed up. They will see Trump as a martyr and recognize what happened to him could happen to them. Revolutions have been started for less.
Trump will be convicted.
Trump will be imprisoned.
Trump will be elected.

Since these are Federal not State charges, if convicted it will be a Federal court that hears an immediate appeal to stay any sentence. We need a serious boycott of the entire state of NY.
