Former first lady Melania Trump revealed on Sunday that she is selling $245 necklaces ahead of Mother’s Day weekend on May 12, noting that “being a mother is one of the most important roles.”

The customizable gold necklace, which is named “Her Love & Gratitude” became available on the former first lady’s website on Sunday morning. It is described as a “flower pendant” necklace with an “adjustable chain.”

And is this bought access too different than we've seen and criticized Democrats and others for over the years?

If you don't have access to your own large pile of cash, and you don't sell your soul to wealthy transnational actors to fund bogus "charitable foundations", and your own party just uses you as a tool, merchandising is one of a dwindling set of remaining options. If you don't like the $245 necklace, don't buy it. Its better than those useless non-fungible-tokens.

This isn't 2008. A Taft-style campaign won't get the job done. The distinction with the Clintons is they raise money illegally, and never get tried for their illegal behaviour. Trump gets tried on scores of charges for non-crimes, and just in time for the campaign!

Melania has had her own jewelry line since 2009, and appeared on QVC in the early days of her company's inception. Every jewelry collection she has produced has sold out. You could have found that information out if you'd done a simple search, but it's easier to whine about the successful wife of a man you hate, isn't it?
