Marjorie Taylor Greene calls on Johnson to resign after foreign aid bills pass: ‘If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated’

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Sunday said House Speaker Mike Johnson “betrayed” Republican voters after the House approved new aid to Ukraine, threatening to call a vote for his ouster if he doesn’t resign.

“Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” Greene said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

After months of resisting putting a foreign aid bill on the House floor, Johnson joined with Democrats on Saturday to advance a $95 billion foreign aid package, which contains $61 billion for Ukraine and regional partners. The legislation – which passed with the support of 210 Democrats and 101 Republicans – now heads to the Senate, which is expected to give final approval this week.

Should Greene and her supporters make good on their threat to force a vote on ousting him as speaker, Johnson will almost certainly need to rely on Democrats to bail him out.

The Georgia hardliner is one of at least three Republicans who have said they will support a move to oust Johnson — whose majority is so slim he cannot afford to lose any Republicans on a party-line vote.

This is just performance art. As much as I like her, this is pure stupidity.

In January when the house is sworn it they elect a new leader. Why would they reelect Johnson as leader.

Other than abortion, which would be unconstitutional, the current “Republican” congress would sing on to all of that.

If every decision you make is based on the fear of what someone else will do you won’t get very far.

I guess if it gets there the Rats would have yo ask themselves some questions. Also, the Supreme Court said the legislatures would have to act. Congress will have to have a bill pass between January 6th and January 20th in order to Prevent Trump. If they take the house tomorrow they’ll have to get it past before the next congress is seated. If they can get that bill past in 6 months with 217 House Repukes and 49 Senate Repukes well guess what. A Trump administration was never going to solve the countries problems. At some point the citizens will have to do the tough work of aaving the Republic.

Just because you repeat nonsense doesn’t give it any value.

I’ll list some of Ukraine’s strategic value after which you’ll just repeat the same nothing.

1 A country that has held off the entire Russian military for more than two years, has by definition strategic value in shielding the rest of Europe from Russia.

2 Ukraine is the 2nd largest country in Europe and is located in the center of Europe.

3 If Ukraine falls, it puts Russia next to Poland, which historically is the flatland which leads straight to Germany.

4 Significant gas pipelines cross Ukraine.

5 The Ukrainian population obviously has produced a large professional armed force which can take on Russia. That manpower and fighting experience would be of incredible use to Russia

6 Access to the Black Sea. Just as you see Ukraine crippling Russia’s fleet there.

7 From Ukraine, Russia can significantly threaten Poland and Germany, and undermine their commitment to NATO.

That’s just a few, now you’ve been educated, let’s see if you can make use of it.

True, but with handing the house to the Dems there is no hope at all. We might as well start calling each other comrade.

Anyway I’m tired of this conversation, I have said everything I can say on this matter. You guys either see it or you do t. Just remember how long it took to get 215 when we dumped McCarthy.

Johnson is just McCarthy 2.0. Maybe even worse.

No they did not say the legislatures would have to act. They said the question should be left to the states. Now think about how the Dems could twist that. Think

He’s exactly the same. But remember how many rounds we had to go through just to settle on Johnson, while the Dems and their MSM minions laughed at us. Now we have fewer votes then we did before.

Johnson probably needs to go, on the principle of bringing a vote to the floor that had less than 50% of Republican support.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Ukraine funding got less than 50% of Republicans to vote for it, making it one of the first times if not only time that a Speaker has brought a bill forward against the majority will of his party.

It may result in the loss of the House Speaker to the Democrats, but only of Johnson resigns, and/or another Republican show their true colors. But probably better to smoke them out now than leave ticking time bombs planted on our side.

The equally big part of this story is Trump’s support of Johnson, to the point that MTG is ready to betray him for the first time. She didn’t want McCarthy removed, and history has now proven that was the right call. Once again, only time will eventually reveal if removing Johnson now would be the right move, but the level of betrayal showed yesterday is pretty much without precedent, certainly far worse than anything McCarthy ever did.

I was told that Russia, along with China and Iran, were an Axis of Evil against America. With them helping Russia with stuff, there is no hope for Ukraine to outlast Russia in this War of Attrition.

what do you think will happen to Trump and the election if the Dems hold the house. Do you think Jeffers will allow Trump electors? Seriously? They are already talking about it.

If there’s a couple of Republican turncoats that would resign or vote Jeffries into Speaker now, they’d be just as likely To side with Democrats against Trump later. I don’t see a lot of value in watching Johnson screw us over from now until then just to find out who they are later.

Ok so who should be speaker? Who can get 215 Republican votes?

Those in government who consider themselves “royal”, as opposed to common folk. They are above and believe no one can give them advice.
They resent the idea anyone would consider God being needed.. It is considered weakness in their world. That is why they labeled such as, deplorables.
In reality, they fool themselves in their beliefs

I wouldn’t read too much into this. Greene’s latest tantrum is just red meat for the populists after they were traumatized by President Trump’s support for the Ukraine bill.

That’s possible, but we could actually be seeing a cooling of affection for Trump by Greene. Trump not only supported the Ukraine funding, but he overall supports Johnson, which is far worse. Greene wanted to keep McCarthy, and wants Johnson gone, and Trump calling her to heel the other day may have set her off.

Back in the day, she would be known as a “big mouth broad”!

That she indeed is.

She should just STFU and sit the F down.

Give Johnson a chance. He is Speaker by the slimmest of margins. He can’t do what many of you want him to. Nor should he.

Just wait until the election. If Trump doesn’t win with a working majority in the House AND Senate, this country is FINISHED anyway, no matter who the Speaker is.

Johnson went down faster than a cheap whore. How much dirt did the intelligence agencies reveal that they had on him to make him do such a 180?
