Patriots owner Robert Kraft pulls support from Columbia after anti-Israel protests: ‘No longer an institution I recognize’

New England Patriots team owner Robert Kraft announced Monday that he was pulling his support from Columbia University over the ongoing anti-Israel protest at the Manhattan campus.

“It was through the full academic scholarship Columbia gave me that I was able to attend college and get my start in life and for that I have been tremendously grateful,” Kraft said in a statement. “However, the school I love so much – the one that welcomed me and provided me with so much opportunity – is no longer an institution I recognize.”

“I am deeply saddened at the virulent hate that continues to grow on campus and throughout our country,” Kraft added. “I am no longer confident that Columbia can protect its students and staff and I am not comfortable supporting the university until corrective action is taken.

The support was under the radar for the most part.

Now, Columbia has tossed aside all efforts at seeming to be “tolerant” or “fair”. They have embraced their narrative and do not seem to care about any ramifications of their stance.

A little bit of hate whitey and the jews isn't that big of a deal to Kraft, it seems. Now that this has grown into a national disgrace on display for the whole country, well now, that's something a bit too much for him, it seems.

The schools get greedy and take subversive foreign students by the container ship full for their full fare tuition plus bennies like a Confucius Institute or Saudi Studies Institute. Then they act surprised when this 5h*t happens. Puhleeeeze.

Cancel the Ivy League. Much of its early financing came from Slave Trading profits anyway.

The Brown Family? Slave Traders. Elihu Yale? Slave Trader. A whole crapload of the early Harvard Donors? Slave Traders.

I’m sure the whites will be pulling back from the anti white racism any day now. Apparently, that must not be a problem since no outrage will ever be forthcoming.

White outrage has been forthcoming for years now.

But such whites get deplatformed and debanked in the U.S. And jailed in Britain.

It's a lot easier to publicly denounce anti-Semitism than anti-white racism.

Maybe some of these millionaires/billionaires should use that money...

To support trade schools and offer scholarships to same for kids who don't have what it takes for college or the financial resources to afford them.

Nephew's son, not a candidate for college, paid $39,000 to attend the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology about two years ago. A nine month, full time training program that netted him many job offers as soon as he graduated.

He was fortunate, in his junior year of high school, they offered an after school welding program for the interested students and he loved it.

His original plan was to head out west with his cousin, who is a welder at Ford, and get a job working on the Keystone XL pipeline. But that was shattered when Biden shut it down.

I would not be surprised if half of Columbia’s alumni contributions are from Jewish alumni. The Ivy League administrators are morons. They have allowed this rot to set in. Others have observed that Middle Eastern countries send that poorly prepared students paying full freight. When you see a news item that tuition room and board is $90,000/yr that’s the sticker price. No one pays sticker price except ME princelings whose older brother inherits the kingdom, and they get to go Harvard for Dummies, and maybe get a Chalet in Switzerland to stash a few wives in.

"It’s been a hotbed of Marxism for a hundred years."
I went to Columbia U. grade school in the late 1950s. I don't know what the undergrad studies were like, but I didn't think it was a hotbed of Marxism then. I don't think it was a hot bed of Marxism when Dwight Eisenhower was its president, but look at its president now.

These schools have deep endowments. They can survive a downturn for years.

They most likely get lots of money from countries which hate America and Jews. Every patriot should withdraw (8f possible) ALL support from ALL woke colleges, businesses, and organizations...from ALL of the world. Spread the word. Support non woke entities instead.

That and the hundreds of millions of dollars countries hostile to America “donate” to our universities, both to corrupt them and to guarantee the college presidents keep quiet.

[Yale shut down the protests. Columbia is weak.]

Not weak. Pro-Hamas. The lady in charge is Egyptian. Not sure whether she’s Muslim, but there’s likely an Arab solidarity thing going on.

One of the billionaire donors at Harvard and one at UPenn certainly have exacted changes. You don’t hear about those schools continuing to allow this thuggery now. Columbia, MIT and Yale are the current hot spots for anti-semitism.

How much does it take to buy a clue?

It's not just that Kraft went to Columbia and was happy there; it's that when he became successful he established and funded an entire center for Jewish students there. That's hard to walk away from.
