Papua New Guinea's leader has dismissed Joe Biden's suggestion that his uncle was eaten by cannibals there as 'loose' talk that does not reflect the US president's feelings for the country.
'Sometimes you have loose moments,' PNG leader James Marape said in an interview after Biden's contentious remarks, adding that the relationship was stronger than 'one blurry moment'.
Biden said last week that his uncle Ambrose Finnegan was shot down over the Pacific during the second World War: '(He) got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals at the time. They never recovered his body.'

Why dignify this stupidity? When asked about the comments, the guy should have replied: Joe Biden is a senile old fool.
‘’Yum yum, eat ‘em up!’’
Honest to God how anyone can be so profoundly crass and stupid as Joe Biden is living proof of The Dunning-Krueger Effect.
Since were giving trillions away to corrupt foreign countries and wars where we win nothing but death and debt, how about a few billion for the cannibal community. Like those who ate Biden’s uncle.
Just wait until Brandon threatens him with nukes and F-15s. That’ll show he can’t eat a Biden.
PNG? I’m pretty sure it’s right next door to GIF and JPG. Right?
Cannibals in Papua New Guinea ate Michael Rockefeller, the son of the man who would later become VP of the U.S., in 1961.
“”Marape said in response: ‘I’ve met him on four occasions, until today, and on every occasion he’s always had warm regards for Papua New Guinea.’
‘Never in those moments (has) he spoke of PNG as cannibals,’ he added.””
How do they communicate - carrier pigeons? Or Joe takes a vacation there every year maybe?
WHAT IS NEXT ATTACKING THEIR RELIGION CARGO CULT!
They’re boiling mad at President Retard and probably want to make soup out of him
He apparently never knew that you never say “Eat me” to a cannibal.
Actual cannibals know biden is a bullshitter.
And you have proof that he didn't travel to New Guinea for a tribal bar-b-q?
“Hello Uncle George!’’.
