Apparently taking the example of Washington, London committed Tuesday to deliver more military hardware and another £500 million in aid to Kyiv as UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak warned that Vladimir Putin will seek to expand further into Europe if Ukraine loses to Russia.

Britain will supply Ukraine with 60 boats, 400 vehicles, over 1,600 missiles, and nearly four million rounds of ammunition as well as £500 million in additional military funding, in the largest single aid package from the UK since the Russian invasion of 2022 and taking the country’s total contributions to £3 billion during this financial year, The Guardian reports.

Good on the UK. May more countries follow suit.

I think that Poland has more to fear from the globohomos than from Russia.

Your analysis of what Ukraine did simply is incorrect.

During this time period Ukraine built up a very professional armed force. That was evidenced by their initial ability to stop the Russian invasion and their continuing ability to fight Russia for more than 2 years.

Many of those here who oppose Ukraine aid go on with a narrative that Ukraine used an earlier ceasefire to build up its forces.

It’s shameful to see people here act like ugly Americans when that country is being destroyed and it’s people dying in battle, and we sit on our couches and make comments about how they haven’t done much.

MOST of these countries do NOT wish to be back under Russian Rule

The USSR was a multi-ethnic empire, Stalin was a Georgian, Krushchev and Brezhnev were Ukrainians. Most of the Old Bolsheviks, except Lenin, were Jews.

But even if we accept the toponym "Soviet citizen = Russian", the phenomenon of America being dragged into wars for the benefit of alien peoples based on what Americans think they know about what those alien peoples "really want" is seriously past its "sell by" date.

This has led us to disaster after disaster, with no recompense for our sacrifices, and we are hearing it even today about what Iranians "really want".

You, I and everyone else here who is a US citizen without attachments to foreign countries have no idea what foreigners "really want". It's none of our business, and I for one don't really care if Pashtuns want schools for girls, if Vietnamese Buddhists want a representative democracy, or if Iraqis want to vote.

I don't care what those people want. I care what my people want. And I'm pretty distressed that my people aren't getting what they want or need while we bleed or offer to defending foreigner's borders.

Enough is enough.

Never again.

You are not paying too much for gas or starving to death because of aid to Ukraine.

You are paying too much for gas because of the anti energy policies of the Biden administration.

You are paying too much for groceries because liberal states have boosted the liberal wage, And because the Biden administration is pursuing green policies that destroy food production.

The amount the Biden administration has spent to create inflation is in the trillions and the Ukraine aid is not a particularly significant part of it.

This is a big world and America’s prosperity and security depend on having free areas of the world which are aligned with us.

I’m sorry that a lot of people here don’t understand the interrelationship between that and our own security at home but it’s a fact.

If Ukraine and the EU haven't ever cared to fight or get a peace treaty, then the US shouldn't care, on their behalf.

The EU never cared to meet simple NATO defense targets, favoring Muslim immigration and anti-Global Warming spending, instead. Oh, and they openly hated the US and, later, Trump.

Let the EU be taken over by Putin. We've saved them twice already, and they don't give a dang.

At some point, you have to wise up that the patient really, really, really doesn't want to be saved or to grow up.

LOL - Putin can’t even take Ukraine. What’s all this hysteria about him invading other neighboring countries?

He’ll stop at Poland’s boarder. Because if he stepped one mm over that line, NATO will curb stomp Russia’s ass. Putin can barely handle what’s going on as it is.

All these “aid” packages are further proof that Ukraine was right to not spent its cash to arm up and train against Russia. Because now someone else is paying.

The UK has thousands of migrants a month illegally crossing the Channel.

The UK border is wide open, but they send their money to Ukraine.

A consistent pattern here.

“I would love to see Putin’s incompetent army take on Poland. Poland by itself would destroy the Russian army.”

Interesting. I hope little pooty makes a big mistake.

So according to you the sanctions on Russian and other oil producers have nothing to do with sky high gas prices. Right.....

Competes someone else with that stupidity.

If these countries can’t fend for themselves, then they deserve to be overrun.

so when Iran gets a nuke and sends it our way on their ICBM, we deserve to be nuked, right?

Russia is Europe’s problem. They need to deal with it. We’ve got enough to deal with.

Right! The US cannot walk and chew gum at the same time - everybody knows how extremely difficult that is. Europe by comparison has no problems, so its easy for them to step up.

Ukraine can’t possibly win and we can’t possibly send troops to fight Russia.

Ukraine can’t possibly last more than 3 weeks
