Tucker Carlson responsible for ‘demonization’ of Ukraine, Mitch McConnell says
NY Post ^ | April 23, 2024 | Victor Nava

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday blamed Tucker Carlson for turning some Republicans against the idea of providing military aid for Ukraine by demonizing the war-torn country.

The top Republican in the Senate argued that Carlson’s outspoken stance against US support for Ukraine was one of the primary reasons why approving more than $60 billion in emergency spending for the former Soviet state took so long to achieve.

“I think the demonization of Ukraine began by Tucker Carlson, who in my opinion ended up where he should have been all along, which was interviewing Vladimir Putin,” McConnell said during a press conference

Americans are not demonizing Ukraine.

The fight Ukrainian forces are making is admirable.

However, the reality of Russian might must be recognized as well as the danger of supplying weapons to kill thousands of Russians.

At some point, Putin will decide that the war must be brought to a conclusion (which will be unfavorable to Zelensky and US wishes).

I pay attention to what Victoria Spartz (R-IN) says about Ukraine. Pray she is re-elected.

As one who isn’t even a fan of Tucker, I say, “GFY, Mitch!”

"I have never listened to the Carlson guy much to the chagrin of some people I talk to."

I never watched Tucker's show on Fox, because I haven't watched Fox News or any news on any platform since Obama was elected in 2008. I don't do Twitter or any of the social media sites, so I haven't seen anything he's done since he left Fox. God gave me a brain so I can read, analyze, and formulate my own opinions. I don't need some talking head reading from a teleprompter, telling me what I should think.

Remember how fast Ukraine got rid of that guy that said the Military supplies were taken and sold as soon as they came in and the corruption was in the open?

McTurtle should just STFU and retire. (Of course, the graft would stop, and he couldn’t handle that.) He’ll meet his Maker soon.

How much of a kickback is Mitch McConnell getting from this legislation?

The number of zeepers who display the UKE flag in their tagline is decreasing.

They’ve seen the light.

Demonizing a country is very different than not trusting the person in charge. Only a fool trusts either Putin or Zelenskyy. And only a fool accepts the false dichotomy that to not trust one makes you a partisan for the other.

*** I’d say every politician in Washington going back to George Bush I who voted to use an unlimited pile of taxpayer money to fund these stupid wars and the foreign/corporate welfare that goes along with them ***

Wasn’t Dick Cheney, Bush Sr’s defense secretary or something like that? Cheney’s been a warmonger for a long, long time. His daughter is cut from the same cloth.

The military industrial complex needs us to be in war. Any war, every war.

I feel there is a slight anti-Ukraine stance by 3 or 4 Freepers on this thread.

Thus, let me say this:
You all know what happened at Mar-a-lago the 12th of April... Right?
Trump gave Mike the go-ahead concerning Ukraine. Let’s not pretend this never happened. Trump signaled his renewed pro-Ukraine stance officially on Truth Social. Right?

Thus, when some here on FR criticize Mike Johnson for his new Ukraine policy, you are indirectly criticizing Donald Trump. Please support Trump, now it’s not the time to play games. Mike only did what Trump let him do.

Some on FR are criticizing any help to Ukraine (and Israel and Taiwan).
By doing so they are unwittingly supporting Obama’s anti-Ukraine policies. Obama REFUSED to send any kind of weapons to Ukraine. He only sent pillows and blankets! Remember? What a cruel insult towards the Ukrainian people.

When Trump became president, he reversed Obama’s horrible foreign polices. He soon started to ship large quantitities of high-tech US weaponry to Ukraine, pushed NATO to become Great Again, and transferred the US embassy to Jerusalem. He then leveled to the ground a Russian air-base in Syria with 60 Tomahawk missiles. He ordered the massacre of 300 Russian troops in Syria as well. He assassinated scores of Islamic terrorist leaders in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, you name it. He put harsh sanctions on Russia, and even expelled 60 Russian diplomats from America. Trumps foreign policy was extremely hawkish against Russia, while being pro Ukraine and pro Israel. It made America respected again.

Trump is a human being, with a Christian heart. Thats’s why HE was the one who initiated the whole process of arming Ukraine.

As Christians Trump and Mike are efficiently opposing the anti-Christian behavior of the Iran-Hamas-Russia-North Korea-China Alliance and their bloody attacks and abundant rape-crimes against our Israeli and Ukrainian allies.

“Wasn’t Dick Cheney, Bush Sr’s defense secretary?”

He was. After which he was CEO of Halliburton, which among other things provided support services to the military overseas.

It would be interesting to see exactly how much money each congressman made from the billions that have been sent to Ukraine and Israel.

More and more I think everyone is waking up to see where the problem has always been. We have had a UNIPARTY running Washington for the Globalist Elites. Mitch is fully supported by them, and does their bidding. GO TUCKER.
