CNN’s Burnett: I Don’t Get Why Johnson Is ‘Choosing to Get Involved in’ Columbia’s Affairs
Breitbart ^ | 04/24/2024 | Ian hatchett

During an interview with House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) that was aired on Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” host Erin Burnett said she was trying to understand why Johnson is “choosing to get involved in” the issues at Columbia University, a school that receives indirect money from the federal government.

Burnett introduced the interview by saying, “There are pro-Palestinian protests across the United States spreading, violent clashes today between police and students at USC and UT-Austin, where more than 20 people were arrested. This follows protests at NYU, Brown University, and Columbia University where an encampment has taken over part of the center of campus, more than 100 have been arrested, in-person classes have been canceled after eight straight days of demonstrations. I was on that campus earlier today to interview the House Speaker, Mike Johnson.”

Well Honey — when his boss, Hakeem Jeffries, orders him to do something, he does it. So, you might want to ask Mr. Jeffries why he’s having Johnson do this.

There was something called the Kalergi Plan, to ruin Christian countries by flooding them with Muslims.

If it were true it’s really an incredibly stupid idea.

Jews have existed in our city since the 1820’s. British, Jewish, Polish and Italian descended Americans founded the city.

There was no safer place for Jews than America. Not even Israel.

Why the he!! they would vote themselves into danger is beyond me. It’s not like people bothered them before in America.

Whomever came up with the Kalergi plan didn’t think this through very well.

Federal money goes everywhere, but he doesn't throw his face into every place. This is just political motivations to try and prove his ‘conservative’ bona fides in support of Israel and jews. Easy photos at an Ivy league school.

If the Columbia visit doesn’t work, he will announce his support for the Line Item Veto.

(which would prove handy, since he has decided to bring back earmarks)

Johnson is beyond a doofus. This is nothing more than pointless, pandering, self-aggrandizing.

This is almost as bad as Chuck Schumer racing to stand in front of the cameras to make a public statement about a train wreck in some obscure place nowhere near the state he represents.

This will be the new narrative. “The Republicans shouldn’t involve themselves.”

Nice try.

Exactly! He needs to do whatever he can to deflect from his total capitulation on the border security issue!

It’s got to be embarrassing for him to show his face anywhere now though—except of course in RINO or democratic settings.
