Supreme Court to hear Trump’s bid for criminal immunity (Thurs--4/25/24)

In the final argument scheduled for its 2023-2024 term, the Supreme Court will hear argument on Thursday in former President Donald Trump’s historic bid for criminal immunity. The question before the justices is whether Trump can be tried on criminal charges that he conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The court’s answer will determine not only whether Trump’s trial in Washington, D.C., before U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, originally scheduled for March 4 but now on hold, can go forward, but also whether the former president’s trials in Florida and Georgia can proceed.

Jury selection is currently underway in a Manhattan courtroom, where Trump is being tried on charges that he broke state law when he made a “hush money” payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels so that she would remain silent about her alleged affair with Trump as the 2016 presidential election approached. But Trump, the first president to be criminally prosecuted, was not yet president when the alleged conduct at the center of that case occurred.

Trump was indicted last summer on four counts arising from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attacks on the U.S. Capitol. Trump, the indictment contends, created “widespread mistrust … through pervasive and destabilizing lies about election fraud” and then perpetrated three criminal conspiracies to target “a bedrock function of the United States federal government: the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the presidential election.”

"Bid for Immunity." is a dastardly caption.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has had his civil rights violated beginning with "Operation Crossfire Hurricane," predicated by totaly fictitious narratives from the Democrat Party, and in all subsequent bogus proceedings.

And now he is seeking immunity from bogus "criminal activity" according to this caption. Utter tripe.

What bullshit.

There is no underlying criminal activity by Trump anywhere.

Thats the point of him seeking immunity from these bogus lawfare charges, and from the weaponization of the various maladministration systems of justice involved at the hands of Joe Biden, dictator of the 4th Reich.

Trump is the quintessetial black man, now reviled, discriminated against and violated simply because he is electable by the People.Black folks from all over America are switching from Democrats to Trump, who has become a whipped slave to fascist Dem overseers. Watch the leftist justice system try and prevent him now from campaigning in New York, where people will vote for him and change the whole city from blue to red.

If the Supreme Court does not grant absolute immunity, we no longer are a free nation. We will have descended into fascism. And the People will NOT tolerate that. The court today will decide whether there will be order or civil unrest and violence in our future. Secondly, the government and is fascist pogies have arrayed themselves against G-D and Israel. And that threatens to drag down our whole nation as a massive collective of Sodomites, killers of babies, and life killing communist dictatorship. We might as well have succumbed to the 3rd Reich back in 1941.At least the painful part of submission would now be past us as we as a free people whimper into oblivion?

SCOTUS had better get it right. CLEARLY RIGHT.NO AMBIGUITY.

Or else.

We have one paladin for the People, and he must be preserved at all costs, even at the cost our own treasure, our own homes and our own now falsified liberties.

G_d bless President Trump, keep him safe and empower his fight for all of US.

I am beginning to believe that this isn’t really as much about Trump as it is about setting up a future defense for Biden’s criminal activities both in and out of office.

Well, if either outcome means the fix is in, then the fix must really be in, right?

As I listen, beyond the obvious DEI reasoning, I cannot understand how Ketanji has the experience or depth to have ever been allowed to sit on the Supreme Court. I have never seen a “Justice” more unqualified for the position.

The lawyer presenting Trump’s case today was seemingly brilliant, but he had a very raspy voice….I didn’t know if he was born that way or had a bad cold

He sounded a lot like RFK
