Glad you brought that up. I've heard so many so-called "conservatives" and libertarians vociferously condemn the National Guard and school administrators over that incident. But most people don't know of the murderous, destructive anarchy that was in play for WEEKS leading up to that climax. A few people getting shot was well warranted, and probably was not done soon ENOUGH.

I lived 8 miles from Kent State in 1970. Those creeps had been rioting for over a week. My dad slept on the couch with a shotgun because they were going to “burn the bourgeoisie in their beds”.
“That’s us.” My dad explained. We were glad when the National Guard was called in.
