Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was a rising star in the Democratic Party until she questioned the positions and policies of the Washington elites. In 2022, she left the party and is now sounding the alarm that unless America stops its descent into leftism, it will be lost forever. In a candid discussion, PragerU CEO Marissa Streit asks Tulsi why she left the left, where she gets her courage and ability to think freely, and how we can save our country.
How do I know that this is no longer who she is and what she will support?

Have you seen her record when she was in Congress?
I want a (((constitutional conservative))), someone that actually believes in what that document says and willing to act on principal when it comes to those values.
Is her argument that her past is not really who she is? That her record was the party and apparatus coercing her to vote and say things they want (the diamond cage they kept referencing)?
I can buy that. I have seen many good people over the years seduced by BS titles, money, positions, future assignments, ribbons, performance evaluations, or simple group acceptance. Sometimes we grow faster than what we are really able to process. We go through the motions and do as told and are not really aware of what is going on. She was catapulted to the top, so that is possible. Also, we all screw up. I have, many times. If she is telling me who she is now, I can believe that, but she better not throw me under the bus like so many so-called conservatives that change course once admitted to the DC country-club.
Because of her past, I want her to publicly go by the issue and articulate her position today in order to create a record and promise to the people with no ambiguity: (list of issues can be found here) https://justfacts.votesmart.org/candidate/political-courage-test/129306/tulsi-gabbard
Bingo
I understand, & I have no desire for her to enter the Republican party or be Trump’s VP pick. But she is making sense on a number of issues & would be a good resource to advise Trump. Veteran’s Affairs, dumping Education, etc. I think she is very slowly migrating to the right. I’ve even heard her say she’s no longer anti-2A.
She’s a lot like one of my sister’s who saw the Dem Party as the party who “cares!!!” No, it’s the party that manipulates people for power. My sister hasn’t awakened yet. I wish she would listen to Tulsi.
Ahhh,
Now I see where you’re coming from.
Yes, 100% behind you!
BTW, when I was 18 I was 80% libtard. Growing up in a very liberal place, going to a school where they taught me the ethics and science of liberalism, awash by liberal TV, radio, and newspapers, I was mostly liberally (in the modern socialist/whackjob way) inclined.
But:
—Then I got married and drifted a little to the right.
—I got a job and started paying taxes and moved a little more to the right.
—I joined the military and traveled the world, and moved more to the right.
—Started managing people and moved more to the right.
—Had children of my own and moved more to the right.
And before I knew it, at about 28, I was about as far right as you can go without going into the brownshirt zone.
Most liberal ideas do well in an academic and theoretical setting, devoid of human nature, the basic forces of economics, or even natural order of things. In this bubble, insulated from reality, you can have 1,000 genders, universal basic income, a solar powered soceity, everyone driving EVs, men breastfeeding babies and women be the warriors.
It is very hard to kill capitalism... the stages all need to seem better than free markets... cloney capitalism in the form of corporatism is being hidden by the media since they are the ones owning our representatives.
A Rat without a home
The woman who supported Bernie and then endorsed and voted for Joe Biden in 2020 . Don’t trust her .
I’ll defer to Thomas Sowell on that one.
Yes, you’re probably right. I wasn’t questioning your statement, sorry if it appeared that way.
