The bill would adopt, as its own definition of "antisemitism," the so-called "working definition of antisemitism" that was conjured up by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance in 2016, as I understand it. Among the examples of "antisemitism" listed in the IHRA's "working definition" is this:
"Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis."
I believe that this is what MTG was referring to.
I also believe you will that the Apostle Peter (in Acts 2), Stephen the Evangelist (in Acts 7), and the Apostle Paul (in 1 Thessalonians 2) identified, respectively, the "men of Israel," "rulers and the people and elders," "you stiff-necked people," and "the Jews" as those who were responsible for Jesus of Nazareth having been "crucified and killed," having been "killed," having been "crucified," having been "betrayed and murdered," and having been "killed."
I mean, that's just what it says in Scripture. To paraphrase Patrick Henry: "If this be antisemitism, make the most of it."
