Aspiring doctor brain dead after friends pushed him into lake knowing he can’t swim

An aspiring medical student was left brain dead last month when his friends pushed him into a Louisiana lake knowing he couldn’t swim — and then looked on while doing nothing to save the drowning man, according to a report.

Shocking video shows the group casually peering into the water moments after they shoved Christopher Gilbert off the dock at Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville on April 14.

At least one woman can be seen slowly entering the water before abandoning the rescue mission.

It was another 10 minutes before a patron at a nearby restaurant intervened and yanked Gilbert back to land — just in the nick of time.

Doctors are always in hurry to harvest those organs.

In a town near me 50 years ago the white kids could not go to the town pool - black territory.

So the blacks should be the swimmers in that town. But they probably aren’t.

I knew a fellow boy scout who was black sans fat. He absolutely sunk like a rock. It was very difficult for him to tread water.

Some professor was studying racial differences and his funding got axed.

I knew a bodybuilder who said they had to cut calf muscle development from judging for that sport because blacks have higher placed / smaller calf muscles than whites. This gives blacks a decisive advantage in sprinting - the calf placement and fast twitch muscles.

If there are 19 of the top 20 of a specific sport of a specific race... might be a correlation to physiology.

“Did you read other articles about this, because none of these “facts” are in this story?”

Yes, along with about three local tv feeds. We do have the internet now.

Updated information here:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/man-survives-spending-20-minutes-underwater-after-friend-allegedly-pushed-him-into-lake/ar-BB1lRVrw

The mother says that, at first, a doctor told the family he was brain dead and his organs were failing.

But, she says, he regained consciousness. He was taken off life support temporarily (?), and he’s eating on his own.

Hope he hasn’t suffered permanent brain damage...

This whole story is strange, from the friends pushing him into the water and not helping him, to the doctor declaring him brain-dead but he wasn’t.

He was pushed by a white woman.

And yes, they are making race an issue.

Mother is on TV with a t-shirt that says: JUSTICE FOR CHRIS. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

I have read all of the other articles that I can find, on Bing, Brave and Google..

This article is the most detailed.

I do not see your "facts" anywhere.

“I do not see your “facts” anywhere.”

Yep, yep, yes sir, I just pulled all that straight out of my ass for the sheer joy of lying.

Go get yourself a life. What’s going on with some of you posters?

Then, show me where the facts, that you state, are.

This article is written in an inflammatory style, implying things that are not in evidence.

"They" did not push him in.

One girl admitted to pushing him, during horseplay.

The only evidence that "they" knew he couldn't swim is the guy's mother.

The timeline is different in every article and video that I saw and read.

What is going on with me?

I read today's "journalism" critically, knowing full well that it is often written in an inflammatory manner to cause division and chaos.

Like this article.

Like Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, George Floyd..

I have no clue what you are talking about. I live here in Louisiana and heard daily updates on it. I was amazed at how it happened, but I have other things to do.

Initially, we were told by the TV reporters:

1. He was pushed in and they knew he could not swim.

2. He floundered and struggled for twenty minutes; they offered no help.

3. Depending on the reports he stayed under water for five to ten minutes.

4. A customer at a nearby restaurant saw it and rescued him.

5. He improved more than they thought he would, since he had brain damage. I never heard he was brain dead. The original story posted here said he was brain dead, so I thought things progressed beyond the earlier reports.

6. Now they say he has progressed well enough to be taken off respirator.

7. The incident is still under investigation so the final word has not been reported.

Can you not understand? The investigation is ongoing and things are probably unknown. Someone said a white female has come forward and admitted she pushed him in, to correct the original lie that he had fallen in.

Now, go outside or something, and see if you can find a life, other than trying to virtue signal and portray to everyone here just how scientific and objective you are when you read news stories, as opposed to everyone else here who is not.

In other words, flake off.

I asked you to point, to me, where these facts came from and you refused.

Now you tell me you live there and have seen daily updates.

Why didn't you tell me this, before?

That puts a different perspective on it.

Same to you.

“Now you tell me you live there and have seen daily updates.”

I did not tell you I live there, I live in Louisiana and it is big news here for various reasons.

I have not seen any updates for two days and will wait for the investigation to end and the lawyers to begin.
