Florida Democrats Looking To Blame ‘Voter Purging’ If They Lose In 2024
Florida Daily ^ | May 8th 2024 | Ed Dean

At a recent Central Florida Democratic club meeting, a committee member said he was outraged at what the state GOP is doing to purge voter rolls.

“If we lose any close elections this year and the abortion amendment, you can blame (Gov) DeSantis and his party for rigging the outcomes due to his bill of suppressing voter turnout,” said the committee member.

The new Florida state law says, ‘The supervisor of elections must conduct a general registration list maintenance program to protect the integrity of the electoral process by ensuring the maintenance of accurate and current voter registration records in the statewide voter registration system.’

‘A registration list maintenance program must be conducted by each supervisor, at a minimum, once each year, beginning no later than April 1, and must be completed at least 90 days before the date of any federal election.’

Because of this, Florida Democrats have a reason to be worried.

Close to 86,000 were removed from the voter rolls in Miami-Dade. Broward County saw a drop of around 191,000, and Palm Beach County saw a decline of just over 156,000.

So removing fake, duplicate and just plain manufactured ballots and cleaning up voter rules from all the dead folks, it’s a problem? Democrats be smoking some wacky sh*t, man. I’m so tired of the doublespeak…

Florida has another potential huge number of illegal voters, the snowbirds. How easy is/was it for someone who owns a home in a northern state and another home in Florida to vote in person in one state and by absentee ballot in the other. Is there ever a criminal prosecution for such a first offense, even if someone gets caught, which hardly ever happens.

The professional racist feminist social-communists in Atlanta GA are beginning the same tactic of charging “racism” and “suppression” against even GA’s minor efforts at holding honest elections.

Eliminating illegal votes = suppression.

Florida's Democrats are expecting to lose and are readying a new versio0n of an old excuse to their donors for their impending general election beat down in Novemvber.

Some years ago, a GOP Florida Secretary of State hired a sloppy computer services vendor and was complacent about their error rate, assuming that the mail warning before a voter was purged would be sufficient to avert any unjustified purges.

As it happened, some voters were marked to be purged from the rolls as convicted felons based on mere name similarity to an actual convicted felon and other apparent defects. Many of the voters affected were justifiably irate when the intent to purge notices went out and complained to local supervisors of elections and the news media. Some incorrectly purged voters also claimed to have never gotten a mail notice. In a handful of cases that might even have been true.

The result was a lot of wailing in the news media and by the Democrats in the Legislature that Republicans were purging legitimate voters from the rolls. Laws and procedures were tightened, but, with a compliant news media, the old complaints offer an ever ready template for new complaints and excuses by Florida's Democrats.

Exactly. Local Gop did a great job getting out the vote.

I don’t care what they carp about if they lose and the election holds. Just don’t care about anything they say.

One time I had babysat a friend of mine’s kid and on the stormy night asked me to tell her a ghost story. So I said: “Every four years, the dead rise out of their graves and ...vote Democrat. End of story.

I’m proud of him as well. Only weakness that he must fix is homeowners insurance. That affects everyone and I haven’t met a single person who is happy about it.

Really need to come up with an interstate system because right now there is very little preventing a person from voting in multiple states.

When I moved out of MN in 2018, 3 weeks later I got a notice I had been removed from MN voting list.
This is how it SHOULD work.
