President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that after the end of the war, there will be a demographic "boom" in Ukraine. He said this during a meeting with students of Sumy State University.
When asked by a student about government programs aimed at stimulating the birth rate, the Ukrainian leader replied that the number one issue is safety.
"I think that the biggest incentive is safety, and what's next with the child, and what to do. And we need not only financial incentives, because finances, in my opinion, help, but they do not stimulate giving birth during the war," Zelensky said.
The President emphasized the need for shelters in schools and kindergartens, as well as air defense systems.
"There is something that the state should do with partners - the latest air defense technologies and its domestic systems. And inform the society about it. But you are smart, you can see for yourself: if they shoot, if it doesn't fall and it is shot down, it means that we have a sufficient number of mobile fire groups and air defense systems. If it arrives, it means that there is no security from the sky yet," the President noted.
According to him, it also affects the birth rate.

Ukraine will be a rump state consisting of the least economically productive parts of the country. The West will have little incentive to help rebuild the shattered country because Putin will accept a peace deal which will include annexing the Donbas and Odessa and nothing more. Many Ukrainians who have left the country will not return.
That’s where the EU is going to send their migrants. In 10 years they will have wished Russia took the whole thing.

Millions of people have left the Ukraine as refugees. Many of them are women with children seeking safety - under what circumstances would they feel it’s safe to return to the Ukraine, with child trafficking, organ harvesting, failed electrical grid and likely to remain contested for who knows how long?
Zelensky is conscripting teen-aged boys and disabled 70 year old men. Some young men who have fled as refugees are being pressured or ordered to return home to fight. Under what circumstances, given the area is to be contested for some time, would they think, “I want to go home and raise a family in the wreckage of the Ukraine”? The power grid and electronics plugged into it have been fried, that includes medical equipment. GREEATTTT time to have a family there...
