When not in use, empty the tank and then let the motor run dry, and it wont build up the goo in the carb, which is why 90 percent of small engines "die". The other 10 percent, change the oil each season and throw in a new plug, will last for decades.

Agreed, not much sense in wiring for a whole house support if it only occurs a few hours per 20-30 years.

The small gens also have a use in that you can place them in a wheelbarrow and take them out on the acreage for power to do stuff.

'course, with the now battery powered everything, not so much.

LOL! That's what my brother always says.

For me, it's like, I'm gonna use this again soon. And then when I don't I forget.

My absentmindedness has cost me a lot of bread! That's why I'm getting rid of most of my gas-powered tools and going electric.

I bought the new Husqvarna Combi system weedwacker and pole saw. Stronger than my gas powered ones.
