The last gasp of the Boy Scouts of America
World Net Daily ^ | May 13, 2024 | Scott Lively

In the Cultural Marxists' "long march through the institutions," perhaps their toughest conquest was the Boy Scouts of America. This past week the BSA finally fully succumbed to the life-draining internal parasites with which it was infected 11 years ago after decades of stalwart resistance.

As with so many aspects of the fundamental transformation America has suffered in the 21st century, the turning point in the takedown of the Boy Scouts was an Obama operation – headed by deep-state swamp creature Rex Tillerson with a major assist by then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

“Boy Scout Oath
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.”

...brings a tear to one’s eye to know that’s now forbidden language.

My experience with scouting during the 40’s and 50’s was nothing but positive...if not for the faint of heart! But that was when America was still America and we were a much hardier, tougher and more resilient people coming out of the depression and World War 2.

Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow.

My Son earned his Eagle Rank 30 years ago - I was a troop leader and very involved in the Boy Scouts - His Troop sponsored by our American Legion Post disbanded in 2015.

At one time our town had four troops - sponsored by the Legion - Lions Club and two churches. Today there is one troop still sponsored by the Lions Club - they have 12 Scouts - in two more years that Troop will be gone. There is no saving the Boy Scouts they are disappearing.

as a scout leader, the expansion of the program to include girls in the cub scouts and separate troops in the Scouts of America, can only benefit society.

Dangling Participle (of sorts).

I think you meant to write, "As a Scout leader, I feel that the expansion of the program to include..."

I grew up in a conservative, historic neighborhood in my large Texas city. It has over the past 15 or so years become a faggified neighborhood, with the "gayborhood" in a neighborhood adjacent. I drive through this area on occasion to reminisce about the good times during childhood (the neighborhood was once chock full of kids) and see multiple houses with the fag rag displayed out front. Not surprisingly, these homes never display an American Flag.

It is very disheartening.

Churches used to be big sponsors of scout troops but have since disavowed having anything to do with the scouts. That was a death knell when the Scouting organization gave Christianity the middle finger.

Last gasp was when it was found out all the Boy Scout leaders were screwing the little boys.

This is also an example of why you cannot cave on certain issues of principal principle.

Those people on the fence, that argue for moderation, a middle ground, on these issues of principal principle [...]

Excellent reasoning!

Slippery Slope Argument (not always an informal Logical Fallacy).

"Yet another “traditional” organization that we sat back and watched get devoured by the parasites."

Exactly. The one charitable organization you could always count on to uphold traditional American values was the Salvation Army. I don't contribute anymore since it is now Woke.

the cub scouts are very young and they start out learning to be a team, how to get along, and start with indoorsy stuff....the 50 mile hikes or canoe trips don’t start til they’re a little older.

I thought they were pretenders when I was a kid in the 70s. Friends and I learned how to camp, fish and hunt on our own without the structured BS. Had zero interest in 00’s to introduce my son to their agenda.

Let them die. Twice for what they did to Philmont Ranch. Couldn’t sell it because of the restrictions tied to the gift, so they mortgaged it instead to pay for their pedo judgments against the org. When do they lose it?

Courteous
Kind
Obedient

if more people got married and had families, there would be tremendous need for groups like the bsa....families would look for outlets for their children then there's the keeping up the the jones(kids).

when my son was little, every kid was in scouts or judo or soccer or t ball or swim lessons etc etc...involvement was the rule of the day...

but we have fewer families now, fewer children...no such pressure to be in involved..

BSA was already impacted by gay predator lawsuits in the 1970s.

It took a while for widespread realization of how large the problem was, in this respect the RCC problem is quite similar.

I was in BSA 1961-1968 and had two (of two) homosexual scoutmasters, one was fired and one went to prison. The biggest obstacle in that much simpler time was having the other adult leaders, most of whom were WW II veterans, actually realize the existence of what to them was literally unbelievable.

Looks good to me.

I memorized them when walking on some RR tracks. Had them written on a card, and said one for each tie I stepped on.

Probably about 1958.

Do a good turn daily. Be Prepared.

“The house, which has been sold to private owners, was flying an LGBTQ flag.”

They don’t just want to win they want to rub your nose in it.

It is utterly amazing that such a tiny minority has been able to take over all the levers of government and use them to squash anyone who confronts them.

I often ask myself how did they do it?

The only answer I come up with is that they are rabid ACTIVISTS with a single minded purpose. They’re very good at playing the victim card and recruit useful idiots.

We on the other hand are PASSIVISTS who just keep on taking it.
