I wouldn't say no to either of them. They're both cute.
The Chinese girl, Shen Xue, is okay lookin' too -- that is until she opens her mouth. She has a rather hideous-looking canine tooth on the left. (I searched the Web for a link to a photo, but couldn't find one - at least one that shows "the tooth!"). Whatever, I like the Russian girl the best.
Same here. Well except for the skimpy outfits the girls wear, the only reason to watch it in the first place.
BUT...this is good...Milwaukee County Exec. F.U. Thomas Ament (actually F. Thomas Ament, you'll soon see with the U was added) and his cronies on the County Board voted themselves a little "golden parachute" for their retirement that would have netted some of the bigshots MILLIONS upon leaving office (on top of gigantic pensions) and some fairly sizable payouts and reimbursements for "sick time not used" for every county employee to buy their silence.
Their little "plan" was uncovered about a year after it took effect. Within 3 weeks of this hitting the airwaves, Milwaukee County residents have rallied and collected (as of today) 165,000 signatures (only 73,000 are needed to force a recall and their goal is 173,000) in a recall effort! They're just a little upset!
Now F.U. has filed suit to have all the names thrown out.
Many of the rats have already jumped ship to cash in on their retirement payouts before any of this can be reversed. Of course, the filandering Milwaukee Mayor and the (I can't prosecute voter fraud because it would take too much time) D.A. McCann are nowhere to be found.
Next they're going to try to clean house of individual members of the County Board.
Fun times in Brew City - a sleeping giant has FINALLY been awakened.
Yes, good point. Far be it from me to knock the appearance of these young people who are only out there trying to do their best, but I was struck by that Chinese girl's dental situation because (and I'm not sure where I read this) I heard the Chinese government had allocated 20 thousand dollars to costume expenditure for the skaters. Seems a few extra bucks to a dentist might have been money well spent.
Of course, as we all know by now, the skating judges aren't exactly looking at things like teeth anyway when they evaluate the skaters. No, they are far more objective than that! (chuckle-chuckle...)
The schools here are another story. They can't seem to figure out how to cut any programs while at the same time facing a court ordered tax refund because they illegally overtaxed a few years back. The latest plan is to borrow their way out of the mess, which should work really well until the payments on the loans come due.
Fortunately, we aren't quite big enough to support any major sports teams, or I'm sure we'd be throwing stadiums and training facilities at them and high school aged girls in hot tubs at the athletes themselves.
Miller Park is nice, although I was rather fond of County Stadium and Bernie Brewer. When I lived in western Wisconsin, I used to drive across the state 3-5 times each season to see a game at County.
Ever seen a Scottsman play tennis?

Seems the "honor" belongs to the Scots.
Since there must be a stupidest winter olympic sport, I invite you to join me in boorishness and name the one you think most stupid.
Evidently you agree with me about synchronized swimming being the dumbest summer sport.
Hey, we can invent a new stupid winter sport to try to take away the stigma from Curling. I'll start: contestants have themselves buried in ice with their heads sticking up. Then....then....um,...they get run over by Zamboni machines.
How's that?
