I know this is from a *gay* rag, but Vincent is someone you all should know about, especially the younger set here.

IMDB has his age @ 40yo. Not exactly a young Turk. FWIW. Interesting post. I am bookmarking it to read later.

IMDB shows Gallo was in Goodfellas in a bit part. But a bit part in one of the greatest movies of all time is still pretty good.

IMDB has Gallo in the sequel to a movie called "Freeway" (never heard of it) directed by Oliver Stone. The sequel is "Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby (1999)." "Vincent Gallo is wonderfully insane as the wicked witch," it says, a character named, "Sister Lopez." Sounds like he perhaps didn't leave his hustling, go-go dancing days behind him in Times Square entirely...Could this be another of the left's attempts at discrediting the conservatives with characters like, say this, or David Brock?

I mixed up names when I first read this and was about to post something you won't believe. But I'll post it anyway:

Vincent LaGuardia Gambini Sings Just For You

(I mixed up the character's first name with the last name of someone he claims to be in the movie My Cousin Vinnie)

I really want to hate you, Vincent Gallo. You're an uncontrolled ranter who spits out right-wing ideology. You use words like spic, dyke, Jew and commie in interviews.

What is wrong to call a nationalist a nationalist? Aren't dykes proud of dyke power?

Vincent Gallo reminds me a lot of someone I know...myself, albeit with more acting and artistic talent.

one of the most interesting things about buffalo 66 is the main character (gallo's) is obsessed with buffalo bills kicker scott norwood (renamed in the movie). norwood's famous missed kick at the end of superbowl xxv is the plot device for sending gallo's character to jail. he had bet heavily on the bills and couldn't pay. the bookie makes him take the rap for some other crime as payment.

(offtopic even further - don't even think of bashing norwood for missing the kick. it was 47 yards. anything less than 45, yea, he should make it. shut up. i'm not listening.)

This is got to be a joke..

I saw him in Buffalo 66 and found myself strangely attracted to him (kinda sexy in a weird way)-- so I did a search on him to find some more movies and in the process I found some interviews and he came off as a total socialist</>...

I'm going to go find that interview...

I'm going to post an article (and will link to this thread). I think that Vincent Gallo is the subject of some "useful idiots"/Hollywood Left backlash.

Vincent Gallo has denied a report by lefty Roger Ebert that he apologized to the critics and audiences at his new movie in Cannes.

I even searched a few weeks ago (before any of this broke) for ANY pro or anti war statements from Vincent Gallo and found none. In interviews he will get into politics ocassionally. He claims to be a conservative; I believe him because Johnny Ramone a "fellow New Yorker" has known him a long time and lists him among his 10 favorite conservatives (Johnny is also a lifelong conservative). I even registered on his website at that time and didn't see any political diatribes.

I think that the left is looking for a whipping boy to kick around (and he hasn't even stirred up the dust to give them an opening).

Hollywood's BLACKLIST of conservatives continues. They're dragging his name in the mud.

Here's the thread about the Cannes bashing he received:

Gallo: I never apologised for Brown Bunny (Conservative filmmaker facing leftist backlash?)

Now I see the day 2002 (I was wondering about that June 4 but know that some publications lead the date).

I still think that he may get some backlash because of his politics.

Whether Shannen Doherty was rude in private or not, she was finally ousted from the Hollywood elite after she spoke on behalf of young adults at the GOP presidential convention in 1992.

I love his Buffalo 66 — with a cameo by Jan Michael Vincent playing a bowling alley manager-—over the top-—Gallo’s website is so cool.
