That's the first pic I've seen of the Carolina Bays-are these also suspected to be impact features?

Cool pic of the bays. I saw a story of Indian legends that said that at the same time the bays formed, the survivors of an island nation appeared on the shores of the east coast, Mexico, etc. If the bays are old, I guess it would negate that story though.

I'd never seen them before.

For all the world, they look like any cluster of pivot sprinkler fields in West Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Absolutely identical.
