I don't see anything wrong with critical analysis.

I think the good Lord gave us brains and expects us to use them. The only problem with critical analysis is when people see something that doesn't match their expectations and arrogantly assume the good Lord must be wrong.

I doubt if the Good Lord is ever wrong. The people who tell us what the Good Lord says are frequently wrong. You may hear God speaking to you in your heart, but I doubt if God has ever spoken directly to you about the age of the earth.
