If Bush wants to win the black vote he needs to just speak as a true conservative. Bush should have stuck to his guns in the Leave No Child Behind Act and fought for vouchers, something blacks would have been greatful for, but instead he sold out to kennedy in exchange for nothing. Bush needs to talk about the importance of moral and family values. Bush needs to tell them he wants to close the borders to save jobs for them and encourage economic growth in their community through lifting harsh government restrictions. I smell a weak democratic coalition. It has to be weak I mean what do Black Americans who are deeply religious have in common with a mostly rich liberal all white homosexual atheist democratic hierarchy. This article does not make any sense....Does not Bush have Condi Rice and Colin Powell in the cabinet. The limousine liberals under slick willie never had any blacks in the cabinet. I am so freaking tired of hearing about the black vote and all that Bush need to do to gain those votes. Those who speak on behalf of blacks still have the mentality that we need to be lead about with some type of leash or something.

To use Armstrong Williams, he is such a militant brotha, but his zeal is misdirected (I believe). There's only so much Bush can do. What is Armstrong and other men doing to engage the black community to show the opportunities that are out there? Not just during an election cycle but every day of the week?

This article is so much BS. Blacks own the Democrat party, why would they vote GOP? They are the sharpest and meanest critics of the president and wouldn't vote for the president under any circumstances. I am so sick of hearing what the GOP needs to do to "get" the "Black vote." And how the "Black vote" will be for the Democrats if something is or isn't done that aids only them. Are they really interested in the entire country benifiting along with themselves or just themselves. If it is really that selfish, why are we really worried about it? The GOP has done without the "Black vote" for quite some time and even if they do everything on the ever-expanding list, they will still vote Dem. The GOP needs to do things that preserve the entire nation (That includes the so called "Black Voters") regardless of what the press thinks is important. The people who actually vote ore people who want to do what is best for the counrty at least for the most part. Bush needs to do what is best for the entire counrty and not just one group or another. If the so called "Black Leaders" would take an unbiased look at history and the policies of our current President, they could see that the "Black Vote" is misplaced. However, their greed for power and ease of manipulation leave the "Black People" just where they are and no further.
Bush cannot lose something he doesn't have. Bush should stick to the no child left behind for the sake of American children not just to benefit one group or another. We need to rebuild our educational system from the ground up and he doesn't have enought support top do that... yet.
