I imagine it's just selective perception on my part, but recently I keep seeing articles (here and elsewhere) about:
Black Sea Flood
Lake Aggasize Flood
Lake Bonneville Flood
There is just tons of scientific evidence that not too long ago (mere thousands of years) there was flooding which had profound changes for this world. Now, the only thing left to decide is whether it was just caused by glaciers, or if something else had a hand in it ...

A period when global warming ran amok. What filled the lake, and burst its boundaries, was the melting of the ice sheet that lay a few miles to the north.
And no SUV's or snowmobiles were involved. Not even many forest fires.
