DRUDGE: "They are going to Finish Him Off"
Sean Hannity Radio Show | Matt Drudge

Posted on 10/10/2003 2:59:33 PM PDT by jbstrick

Matt Drudge, citing an unnamed producer states, they are going to hit Rush with everything they got this weekend.

The producer told Matt "we're going to finish him off..."

We better be prepaired.

That is probably the best thing I've ever seen posted on FR.

The same applies to womanizing....harmless if a Dem does it, but Republicans become molesters if they try it

Theyll have to affect his advertizers to do that.

His advertizers look at his ratings and Rush's audience is not likely to go away in droves.

Even if Rush goes away, his audience still is a constituency looking for a media place to call home. His replacement could even be more of a danger to liberals than Rush himself has been....Rush's rule about no interviews on the show for instance, in my opinion, has outlived its' usefulness and isolates many of his listeners from really good conservative thinkers.

ith Rush's money and easy access to the drug trade, he is lucky he got busted early otherwise he'd have turned up dead in a bathroom wearing a diaper like Elvis.

Was it early? Do you, or anyone, know how long he has been doing this?

I'll eat my hat if Rush loses even 10% of his market over this.

Unless it turns out he's a drug dealer or something, Rush's market share will really jump. And how could the guy have time for that? Look at everything he's into.

Lovely Richard W. post from another thread re WMD: (about says it all)
"We were attacked because we support the corrupted Saudi royals. The Saudi people want their country back. Now, logically (and I know that this is going to be an intellectual stretch for you) why did we attack Iraq when the source of the 9/11 attack came from the Saudis? Could it be that the Bush family are long standing friends and business partners of the dictator Saudi royals? Naw, let's not talk about that -- much much too close to the truth for you isn't it? I know, let's blame Bubba. Yeah, that's the ticket! LOL
Richard W."

"The same applies to womanizing"

Same principle at work though.

The only thing a D.A. could accomplish by charging Rush is 'past possession' of illegal prescription medications. Past possession is no possession. The problem with such a charge is there is a U.S. Supreme Court Case that holds 'a person may not be prosecuted for having being addicted to drugs'.

Rush did the smart thing. He is getting treatment.

Ergo -- the D.A. could be overstepping his legal authority if he decides to file charges. Opens the door to a NASTY law suit for malicious prosecution and several claims based on constitutional theories.

Very remote chance of allegations from those convicted felons who spilled the beans: Rush was supplying us with drugs.

My response to Rush is the same as it was regarding Arnold. He did not deny his mistake, he did not point fingers at anyone else, he did not claim victimhood, he owned up to it. Anyone on the Right or the Left who does that has my forgiveness. When Republicans went after Clinton, I thought it was a mistake UNTIL he lied about it, and then lied under oath. I know that people are fallable and deserving of forgiveness regardless of their political persuasion.

There are no perfect Freepers, so it disgusts me to see so much bitter judgment of someone who has been such a valuable blessing to all of us as Rush has been, and will CONTINUE to be.

Nope. All the public has is Limbaugh's word - 5, 6 years.

Ed Asner was evidently overheard at some leftist cocktail party saying:

"Did you see how we got Rush. Well, Hannity's next"!

This was posted earlier today.

Jesus also says we are forgive as we have been forgiven. Rush admitted he has done wrong and is getting help. My Bible to pray for him and forgive. Which version are you using?

Right. If they wanted to destroy him they shouldn’t have exposed him. He would have very soon self-destructed. This way he gets the sympathy of the millions who have had similar problems and will cause his fans to dig in and fight any attempt to destroy him.
