What sort of dung is this?
Maya, Meri???
All the same. Kabbalah's Adam Kadmon. The son of man. Adam. The story of each has the same message...God is within in you and selfishness(sin) seperates you from Him. Universal Love(God)is what you must find within to free you from the chains of (selfishness) sin. The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. It is likened unto a mustard seed, which though it is small, if you plant it, it will grow into the largest tree and all the birds will make a nest in it. Spread the seed of love!
The Buddha wasn't crucified, and 'maya' isn't a woman's name but the Sanskrit word for 'illusion'.

But how can we be separated from God? God is everywhere. There is no spot where God is not.

Not agreeing with it isn't the same as not getting it.
There is one Jesus Christ and many pretenders to the throne... and He loves us all...even the really really misguided ones..
The only devil that mankind needs to worry about is the himself. The only hell to fear is the one you put yourself through. To ignore God(love)and worship the self(satan, money, greed, power) is the absence of God(hell). God is not everywhere in the sense that He is not in your heart unless you seek for Him there. If you seek you shall find. It is called freewill. He departs from the wicked.
God loves us and wants us to be with Him. But there are those people who reject God, and He is merciful enough to make allowances, even for them. Hence, there is a place where God is not. That place is Hell, and that is where people can go if they wish to reject God. This is permitted through our own Free Will and from the mercy of God.
Is His love and mercy limitless to All? Is His forgiveness universal? I would never eternally punish my son no matter what he did, How much more God must love His children? I believe God is ALL merciful and ALL patient with His children. Perhaps he allows us many chances, and many lives to figure things out. Like this is a school and one day we graduate.
Being Just and being merciful at the same time is an oxymoron.
I completely agree with your entire statement. Hell is the absence of God. God could not look down into hell and watch his creation eternally punished without being saddened. Otherwise he would be merciless, and without love. Being just and merciful at the same time is an oxymoron. I can't imagine an ALL merciful God eternally punishing his own creations without being eternally mourning for their loss.
" Spread the seed of love!"
Naaa. I'd rather hate and kill those who I can't force my beliefs upon.

Thanks, now i am hungry!
Those who have done their homework into the historocity of the Gospel accounts and the Scriptures in general know the difference between them and pagan mythology. The former are reliable historical accounts that have held up under intense scholarly scrutiny for many centuries. The latter, whatever elements of truth they may hold buried in the symbolic details, do not.
Big difference.
Some mythology
is much more complicated

The Parthenon Code: Mankind's History in Marble
Publisher's summary: "The events of Eden were part of the Greeks' collective cultural memory, and their special interpretation of those events made up the very basis of their religious system. Greek myth/art is human history. The Book of Genesis is human history. While the viewpoints of each are opposite, the recounted events match each other in convincing detail."

The devil knows how to mix some truth with some lie to make a mix of misleading Foo Foo.
There are many similarities to the story of genesis and the creation story of the Assyrians and mesopotamians, who historians believe were some of the first civilizations to come about. Mesopotamia is also where many think the garden of Eden was.
