I believe 2012 is too soon. The next major prophetic milestone is the Battle of Magog, different, I believe, from the Battle of Armageddon.
The unmistakable supernatural intervention which will lead to Israel's success will, according to the prophecy, cause national Israel to turn back to the Father, and speaks of the time it will take to purify the land.
That they are ritualistically purifying the land indicates that this is also the time of the establishment of Yahweh's Temple (Ezekiel), necessarily standing in order for the sacrifice to cease, and more importantly, for Christ to return via the Eastern Gate.

But I see that 2012, and that war as possible coinciding. Russia and Iran have a strong alliance. Iran has the missles and possibly the nuke material. Ahmadinnerjacket wants to usher in the Mahdi and to wipe Israel from the face of the earth. According to Islam "prophecy" the Mahdi will be ushered in under a great war.
There are some similarities between the Bibles AC and Islams Mahdi.
In Gog/Magog the armies and possibly the countries of Gog-Russia and most Islamic nations-will be destroyed, BY GOD.
We know that the beginning of the trib is the peace deal between AC and Israel. My thought is the peace deal comes after Gog/Magog.
I also think that Israel needs to find vast oil reserves, and become a wealthy nation. My original comment about 2012 was just a thought that I have had, in using other than biblical "prophesy".
Another thought I've had is that Israel became a nation in 1948. Psalms 90 tells us that a man shall live (a generation) 3 score and 10, or even 4 score. So 70-80 years.
1948+70 years = 2018.
That would be if your holding to a generation being 70 years, and timelining it out. Now subtract 7 years for the tribulation, because if your a person who holds to the idea of a rapture, the rapture and second coming are different events.
Whether the trib starts as soon as April or June of this year or not until 2018, doesn't really matter. Time is running out for the harvest. The storm clouds are gathering.
World wide hatred for Israel is rising. The US is weakening, thereby taking our shadow of protection off of Israel. Allowing God to show HIS strength and protection of Israel.
Never before has the world been able to produce a 1 world money or banking system. We now have that ability. Kind of a coincidence that economic systems all over the world are collapsing, just so they can be "saved" by a centralized banking system.
Its interesting that the current financial plans that are to help us, will do nothing but drag us down further weakening us financially and politically.
With the world in financial, political and war chaos, a perfect time for a "savior" to appear.
The US had been doing pretty good, but still people CHOSE to follow Obama as if he were the Messiah, a savior fro mall our ills.
Imagine how people will be when the real player comes on the scene. People here have chosen to believe the Obama lie. I can only imagine people choosing to believe the AC lie.
