Is 2012 the end of the world?
If you scan the Internet or believe the marketing campaign behind the movie "2012," scheduled for release in November, you might be forgiven for thinking so. Dozens of books and fake science websites are prophesying the arrival of doomsday that year, by means of a rogue planet colliding with the Earth or some other cataclysmic event.
Normally, scientists regard Internet hysteria with nothing more than a raised eyebrow and a shake of the head. But a few scientists have become so concerned at the level of fear they are seeing that they decided not to remain on the sidelines this time.
"Two years ago, I got a question a week about it," said NASA scientist David Morrison, who hosts a website called Ask an Astrobiologist. "Now I'm getting a dozen a day. Two teenagers said they didn't want to see the end of the world so they were thinking of ending their lives."

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out
of those things which were written in the books, according
to their works.

It will be for liberals, socialists and communists if things go as I hope they do...
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Matthew 24:36
What is sad, is more people believe in the 2012 doomsday then the return of Jesus Christ.....
I anticipate after the movie comes out, many in the world are going to go bonkers....
Could well be, if Obama get re-elected...
BRING IT ON!!!
We humans could use a good ‘culling’. Too many of us are either crazy, stupid, dumb, evil, dependent on government, ect for our civilization to possibly survive in a good way for much longer.
When you see ‘the big one’ coming, just lean into it....
This is something that several different civilizations were able to predict; the Chinese, the Persian, the Mayans, the Hindus and the Europeans were all capable of taking the observations they made and extrapolating that several cycles were going to all ‘zero out’ at the same time.
The astrological equivalent, sort of, of the odometer rolling over to all zeros. Thus not surprising at all that it was not only commented on but given some significance.
I just had four rooms of furniture delivered with no payment and no interest until 2013...someone keep me up to date so I know how to allot my future funds!!!!
I hate to sound callous, but I think I see a flaw in this plan.
2012’s the end? Damn. It will only have been 12 years since the LAST apocalpyse, Y2K.
Actually, the world just ended, but they started another one right away, so no one noticed.
A lot of obama’s campaign message to his worshippers played in to this New Age 2012 thing. Same with the global warming doomsdayers.
LOL!!
The last glyph on the Mayan Calendar has recently been translated to “Damn, ran out of rock!”

REVELATION 20:12
cool, but ya know the original scripture didn’t have chapter and verse....
As a Christian myself I expect the Lord’s return soon but I’m not predicting when.
That’s all right. When John was writing it the years weren’t numbered that way either.
Somebody knew both would happen. That Somebody either did, or did not, include it as a clue to His Plan.
I figure the Mayan Calendar ends at 2012 the same way our
Calendar ends December 31st. Then... it STARTS OVER.

DO OVER!
