Here is an article that I found rather interesting. In the scriptures it states the following:

And again...

The questions in these passages is 1) where did these other people come from for Cain to marry, and 2) what is meant by the sons of God versus the women of men? Could these be the Neanderthals-another race of creatures but not on the same level and God-breathed beings?

There is an interesting Christian fiction series on Nephilum. Very distracting stuff tho, like the end times, easy to lose focus of your primary mission.

There you will see the child born of this loving union.

The main difficulty here is that by the time the Hebrews began discussing the issue the Neanderthals had been gone for 10,000 or so years.

Now that doesn't mean the stories themselves don't have a very early ~ even Ice Age ~ origin, but there are few such tales. (Lot, his wife and the visit to the area of Sodom may be such a story).

Eventually some smart guys somewhere will figure out the references to this one.

According to my wife the answer is “Yes”. And as recently as days ago.

And I still do as often as she wants me to.

Did Neanderthals have sex with modern day humans?

Yep.

Proof?

Red Hair is a Neanderthal trait.

Anyone who carries the HLA-B27 genetic defect (Ankylosing Spondylitis) is also a descendant of a Neanderthal.

I'm lucky, I got both.

The Noords were also descendants of the Neanderthals, and I remind you all on this thread that the Noord's raped, pillaged and plundered most of modern day Europe, so if you have European descent in your bloodline, you're all a bunch of Neanderthals too!

USC - A proud knuckle-dragging, cromagnum Neanderthal descendant.

Biblical scholars seem to agree that Cain married a sister, and that marriages between brothers and sisters were common early on.

It wasn’t forbidden until Leviticus.

It is ghastly for us to think about, but as caveats, remember that people were living hundreds of years then; so brothers and sisters were not necessarily raised together. Also, presumably the progressive genetic damage we are all inheriting was not yet present, so genetic problems were not as likely at all.
