A dear friend's only daughter was taken into the hospital for an emergency C-section this morning. The child's heart had stopped beating and the baby wasn't breathing. The child was put on life support and was last listed in critical and unstable condition. She has since been life flighted to Tulane, and my friend is currently making the drive to New Orleans to be with her grand daughter. PLEASE pray for this little child!

Pray, rest and pray some more. More prayers on the way from here. She has a wonderful name, if I haven’t mentioned that already!

Dear Jesus,...thank you that Jo has shared of Grace’s Grandmom with us and the priviledge of bringing her before you now........ We ask in the time she is given to rest that you will restore her well so that she may again be with family as they stand by Grace........ Also asking that she have a very real sense of your abiding with her thru this and know that she is never isolated from you........Keep her heart in yours so they she might be a comfort to others until the outcome of this situation is completed. Prayers for God’s blessings on all.

I'm sitting here with Grace's Grandma, thankful for all your prayers. Things do not look good, and we are expecting the worst. Grace's Grandma told me that yesterday, while in the NICU, some techs were monitoring the equipment and one tech facing the machine asked another to close the windows because, "the light is too bright in here." The windows were already closed.

We prayed a rosary for little Grace tonight, and are preparing ourselves for what at this point seems inevitable.

Thank you all for the countless hours, minutes and seconds you have joined your prayers with ours over this past week. Grace's grandma thought it would be ok to share some pictures of little Gracie so that you might see the little one to whom your prayers have meant so very much.

While I know that we can never KNOW why God allows things to unfold as they do, HE leaves us free to speculate. In one week, this little child has touched the lives of a number of us in ways more profound than any philosopher, poet, theologian or professor. For all we know, she has inspired, taught and given the medical staff experience that may save numerous lives in the future. If these simple things were the sole intent of God's purpose for this little child, she has accomplished them in the most admirable of manners, and we can only hope to fulfill our purpose as well as she.
