Continued gratitude for all of your prayers and support. Grace had a rough night last night with some contined seizures; however, things improved somewhat today. First, Grace's mom was released from the hospital here in Lafayette and was able to make the trip to New Orleans to be reunited with her daughter. The data read out from the respirator indicated that today Grace made an effort to take her first few breaths on her own, and the docs upgraded her condition to critical/stable.

Her biggest test yet comes tomorrow afternoon when the docs are going to begin withdrawing her from the cold packs and start warming her up. They have been quite direct that this is going to be a very precarious time for her and her body's reaction/response to this is going to be a major factor in ascertaining her continued chances for survival. They have described it as "make or break".

Little Grace's grandma told me this afternoon that she kept repeating Psalm 18:30 to her today, and so I'll conclude this update with you all by giving it one more repetition this evening. Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart!
