In general, I agree; but I’ve got to say that my initial knowledge of the evils of communism came from the pulpit, and that wasn’t even a religion! Granted, the lessons concerned the necessity of atheism as a factor. But of course this was all pre-Vatican II when sermons were far more *interesting* than they are now.
Some Catholics, along with some Christians, could use a little education on the evils of Islam. I’ve met more than a few who defend it because of its “orthodoxy” and “recognition” of Christ and Mary. That “little knowledge” is dangerous indeed and could be corrected at the altar.

AMEN!
Jesus gave them to us to be Shephards, to teach and guide us, NOT to lead us astray !!!
(How Pfleger can be allowed to preach in a Catholic Church, mystifies me.)
The first and last thing everyone needs to get through their skull is that Islam is not a religion. It is a political ideology with some aspects of religion attached to it. As soon as we start treating it like that it will be a lot easier to get past this ridiculous PC and start trying to either stamp it out or subjegate it.
