Wesley was a devout follower of Christ. Today his followers are not.

“Wesley is spinning in his grave.”
You got that right! Unfortunately many of the institutions and even the denomination he founded have veered off that venerable man’s course. The United Methodist Church, particularly in the Northeast, is unrecognizable as the church of self sacrificing itinerants who spread the gospel of Christ all over the United States in the early years of our nation, as well as in the years before the Revolution. The legacy of John Wesley rests in the many biblically based churches that continue to stand for truth in our country. In these, the spirit of this godly man continues to inspire.
