I feel abandoned. As a Catholic convert under Pope Benedict, I believe everything that drew me to the Church has been undermined.
Say the Rosary & Chaplet of Mercy Daily, look for a Church that says Mass in Latin (Tridentine Mass), pray, pray, pray
Do not despair. Perhaps Pope Francis is our punishment. If that’s the case, God will be merciful towards us. We are, after all, His Church.
Christ will never abandon you. Sadly, those who at present control His Church have abandoned Him.
"In all things we suffer tribulation, but are not distressed; we are straitened, but are not destitute; We suffer persecution, but are not forsaken; we are cast down, but we perish not" (2 Cor 4:8)
"Behold I command thee, take courage, and be strong. Fear not and be not dismayed: because the Lord thy God is with thee in all things whatsoever thou shalt go to." (Joshua 1:9)
"Now the law entered in, that sin might abound. And where sin abounded, grace did more abound." (Romans 5:20)
Do not feel abandoned. You have been called, and He will never leave your side:
“docentes eos servare omnia quaecumque mandavi vobis et ecce ego vobiscum sum omnibus diebus usque ad consummationem saeculi” Matthaeus 28:20
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.”
