The first openly lesbian bishop in the United Methodist Church can stay on the job for now, but she is subject to a disciplinary review that could lead to her removal, the top church court ruled Friday.
Bishop Karen Oliveto's civil marriage to another woman violates church law that bars clergy who are "self-avowed practicing homosexuals," the Judicial Council said. However, a decision over whether she can remain in the position must come from a separate disciplinary process, the court ruled.

If they are pastors they don’t have a solid biblical foundation.
Thanks. I figured it was Baptist. I think they are the only conservative mainstream Christian Church around. Thank you.

Whatever decisions the UMC has ruled on must be in alignment with Scripture and women pastors are not in alignment with Scripture.
Good for the Methodists, as, at least 6 of them, realizes that the act of homosexuality doesn’t fit the pattern God gave to teach about the covenant relation between God and the Church - that intimate relationship ultimately produces the Kingdom.
The Kingdom was the ‘child’ born out of the ‘marriage’ between God (i.e. ‘the man’) and the Church (i.e. ‘the woman’).
You don’t get the Kingdom, with no God and 2 Churches, nor do you get the Kingdom, with 2 gods and no Church.
