May the angels sing him home

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the soul of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.

Billy liked Hillary. He thought she would make a great president. I am not saying that he was not a great man, but sometimes religious figures are two timid to make a stand on right and wrong. Luckily his son Franklin takes a stand all the time.

I remember when Billy Graham spoke in Cliff Hare stadium in Auburn. It was very special. I remember hearing him speak at Explo ‘72 in Dallas. My husband, Mike, prayed to receive Christ one day when hearing Pastor Graham speak on the television. “Well done, Thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord.”

Billy Graham, I am sure, had a part in my coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ. I was born and raised a Catholic but remember watching his crusades on TV in my Southern Baptist grandparents’ house. He planted the seed, many watered, and God gave the increase. A godly man that is sitting at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ with his beloved wife Ruth and hearing, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into your eternal reward.”.

My comments about Graham in the other thread:

Graham as the prototypical Christian evangelist

Pros and cons about that, and especially his contribution in the 50s and 60s -- as a white Southerner -- applying the Golden Rule to race relations.
