I'm hoping at least some Muslims who watch this will begin to allow other opinions to be sucked into the vacuum of Islamic thought on issues related to the text of the New Testament.
The phrase “Islamic thought” itself is an oxymoron.
As in the post-Christian agnostic theologian best known for his deconstruction of the New Testament?
Can you summarize what Ehrman has to say in this? Is it pro-Islamic, anti-Islamic, or neutral?
Islam allows nothing to enter ... it is all written in the koran and the other five holy books needed to understand the koran. There can be nothing other than what is in the koran, and anything which is not, is anathema and must be destroyed - including ideas.
Waste of time.
Yes.
Had exactly the same idea ... Islam is a non thinking mans religion.
The most remarkable aspect of that debate was the profound ignorance of the audience, a group of (presumably) college-educated Muslims.
They literally guffawed when David Wood read VERBATIM from their "holy" book.
Perhaps you gave some of them the opportunity to think about it for the very first time.
We can hope.
Anyone who listens to a single word Bart Ehrman utters is a fool.
He has pretty much the same view of Christianity.
Uh-oh...
