it’d be half repaired already

Notre Dame Paris belongs to the French government and has for over 200 years. Catholics are allowed to use it for Holy Mass.

The Cathedral in Baltimore was also constructed by stone cut completely off site and then put together like a giant LEGO project.

I got an idea. Take the frigging scaffolding down!

To get a bit of perspective as to what is involved, this is a good place to start.

Reporters granted a rare look at restoration of Paris's Notre-Dame Cathedral

I’m not Catholic. I scoff at the French for a number reasons. I’ve never been, never will, go to Paris or France. But I would hate to see Notre Dame destroyed.

A great icon of the Christianity that once was in France. If someone hated Christianity, and wanted to destroy one of its great icons, this would have been the target.

There is a tight cap on information surrounding the origin of the fire. Wondering if there is a connection.

Answer is simple. Tear it down and build a Mosque. Saudi Arabia would pay for it. Statues and artifacts placed in museums for dead religions, Mary next to Venus and other forgotten gods. Or, build a Russian Orthodox cathedral with onion domes and icons, to welcome Russian troops when they roll in. Putin might even pay for it.
