The priest who fight valiently alongside Terri Schiavos family to protect her right to life has passed away. The Schindler family fought a losing uphill battle against the court system that decided Terri was better off dead than living as a disabled patient.
Monsignor Thaddeus F. Malanowski, a retired Brigadier General in the United States Army and who became known as Terri Schiavos priest during her familys battle to properly care for her, died on January 23, 2020. He was 97.
Bobby Schindler, President of the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network, said, Monsignor Ted visited Terri regularly during her time in hospice in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida, and he became a dear friend of our family. If there was ever a man who fit the description of a living saint it was Monsignor Ted Malanowski.
Schindler added: It was because of his close relationship with Terri and her family that Michael Schiavo, Terris estranged husband and legal guardian, tried to bar Monsignor more than once from visiting Terri. And it was during Terris two-week dehydration and starvation death that Michael Schiavo attempted to prohibit Monsignor Malinowski from offering Terri Holy Communion. Monsignor Ted was heartbroken by Terris death and was initially one of only a few priests who publicly condemned the decision to deny her food and water. Requiescat in pace.
Monsignor Malanowski served as a chaplain in the U.S. Army for 30 years, retiring with the rank of Brigadier General. He left the service with an unblemished record. During Terris protracted legal battle that began in January 2000, Monsignor Ted would visit Terri every week and sing her songs in Polish.
After Terris death, Bobby and his family started the Terri Schaivo Life and Hope Network to help other disables patients like her.
U.S. Army Brigadier General (Ret.) and Monsignor Thaddeus F. Malanowski was a courageous man. He saw a wrong and stood against the forces of evil and stayed throughout Terris dying hours.
There were thousands of people who prayed for Terri and her family, many in our group.
Rest in peace, Monsignor. We respect you.
RIP.
Terri Schiavo. Another Bush family EPIC FAIL.
Eternal joy and rest to the good Padre.
What I remember reading was that Terri was given morphine suppositories. I don’t know at what point this happened. After Greer’s order to withdraw the g-tube, I can’t remember if he put the family under a gag order. Not sure on that point, but it would make sense as they just wanted everyone to go away and not hold a public vigil. After Terri was dead, I believe her brother revealed this in his despair that she was in pain and that’s why the morphine suppositories were used.
Wow, I dont remember that detail (morphine suppositories), ever. The reason they kept saying that they didnt give her any pain killers was because they ( Michael and lawyers, Greer) kept saying that she was not cognizant of pain. The only way they were allowed to give her the death penalty was because they insisted that her PVS was permanent, and that she would never recover, not even partially. It was the one thing that Greer made his judgment on.
However, I hope that you are right and that I just missed this in my grief. It has always torn me apart that Terri was not allowed any painkillers, because that would prove the point that she was aware to some degree. Do this to a dog, or even a child, and youd be in jail faster that I can type PDQ.
This website contains a lot of information including the reference to giving Terri morphine - unfortunately those links are 404’d. I will keep looking as I never saw anything about injections, which may just be a headline statement. It’s common in hospice care that morphine is administered on a swab under the tongue. Because the “judge/jury/executioner” said nothing by mouth for Terri, the use of suppositories makes sense. No matter what, this is all so horrific and it is still going on across our Nation. And worse yet, Michael Schiavo got away with murder.

She was not given morphine. She was not given anything including food and water. She was starved to death. While her murderers stood around her bed and gloated. I hope that they all go to hell. After dying in the same manner that they forced on her.
How do you know this? She was under judicial order to receive nothing by mouth., true. She was starved/dehydrated to death, true. Because Terri was not brain-dead, she did feel pain and articulated it to nurses who took care of her before the death sentence was imposed. When her agony got bad and vocal, no doubt in my mind her PINO agreed to have her doped up to keep Terri quiet. Then the Dr. Death Felos could go out and tell everyone how peaceful she was in “her dying process.” Makes abundant sense to me that she did receive a morphine suppository to help the Evil Ones keep up their lying narrative.
You may have the last word on what did or didn’t happen because the source for my assumptions is third hand at best.
Yes, God says Vengeance is Mine, and He does use His earthly human warriors to that End. Diabolical narcissists, including Terri’s HINO and his fellow adulterer, Felos, Greer, et.al. don’t care what normal people think as they are demonic tools. They love inflicting pain.
We need a much better response to deal effectively with the Diabolical narcissists among us. They never play by the civilized rules. We all need to wake up before it is too late - the Dilemma of the Christians is the mixed messages of effective self defense. We are doomed if we keep playing into the emotionalism of perceived helplessness.
Pray to Jesus Christ like your life depends on it for what He would have us do. He certainly doesn’t want us to fight among ourselves which gives the Devil much delight.
