A New York Times op-ed published Friday is casting blame on the evangelical movement for the Wuhan coronavirus plaguing the nation.
The piece, titled, “The Road to Coronavirus Hell Was Paved By Evangelicals,” written by Katherine Stewart is filled with undue condescension and mockery of Christians that is becoming the norm among our mainstream media elites.
The crux of Stewart’s piece is that the Republican Party has become embedded with a spiritual movement whose beliefs fly contradictory to science, blaming the idiocy and extreme actions of a few who defied public health orders against large gatherings to stigmatize half the country.
Stewart’s piece however, only further exposes a deep disdain for the Christian faith through the employment of hypocritical arguments in an attempt to smear the religious right.
“Religious nationalism has brought to American politics the conviction that our political differences are a battle between absolute evil and absolute good,” Stewart wrote. “When you’re engaged in a struggle between the ‘party of life’ and ‘party of death,’ as some religious nationalists now frame our political divisions, you don’t need to worry about crafting careful policy based on expert opinion or analysis.”

This isn’t the first time Christians have been false accussed. According to Tacitus Emperor Nero blamed the Great Fire of Rome on the Christian community in the city, initiating the empire’s first persecution against the Christians.

Note to Katherine: You are delusional. Republicans are not anti-science. This is science: light travels 186,000 miles per second; 2+2=4; a molecule of water comprises two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom; it takes the earth about 365-1/4 days to circle the sun.
This is not science: we are all going to die because the ozone layer is “thinning”; we are all going to die due to CO2 in the atmosphere; we are all going to die because of killer bees; we are all going to die because of a new ice age; 2.2 million people in the US are going to die due to Covid-19.

We’re in a national emergency. Shut down the media until further notice so Trump can get ACCURATE information to the public without noise and communist propaganda drowning him out.
I don't personally wish revenge on these people, I merely observe. The nature of the emotion with which I long for the roosting is not a personal one against these people, it's that I love that the universe operates based on simple laws. It's not that the laws are human. On the contrary, humans come from those laws. They look human only because we stare our Creator in the face and think He looks like us, when really ... it's that we happen to look like Him ... chips off the old block ... pretty messy chips though.
So I just pray that God's will be done. Who gets consumed in that fire when arc(s) land is not my business and surely I've done plenty to have earned a deep singe if not a full consumption.
But if you asked what I'd be my money on, I think these people are in Hell, but not conscious of it. Maybe a tiny piece of them is conscious, and that's why it's so important or them not to wake up. They know on a certain level what they'd be waking up to.
That's probably why lefties pooh pooh you as soon as you go all logical and rational and reality and facty on them. It's the same as 'I think I'll just have another drink' to the drunk. Deep down inside, no drunk really is in denial. It's an act for others and himself. But alas! I digress too far into the analogy.
You can't be honest with yourself and at the same time be a lefty, so long as your IQ is above 70. If anything, it takes a certain IQ to concoct the types of lies these lumps believe from themselves.
