(Barf Alert) Harvard Prof. Blames Christianity’s ‘Malignant’ Belief in Afterlife for Lockdown Protests

Harvard psychology professor Steven Pinker said Thursday that the push for reopening society from lockdowns comes from Christianity’s “malignant delusion” of belief in an afterlife.

Atheists who believe in this life alone are more concerned with health and safety, Professor Pinker suggested in a Tweet, while Christians tend to devalue “actual lives” and live a riskier existence.

It really sucks when you can’t control people by threatening their lives. As I recall, our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to our nation. Yay Christianity!

Why should they surprise us that they actually know nothing whatsoever about real people and their beliefs.

Ah yes, Harvard, the “university” that sent a scientist to help the Chinese create viruses in Wuhan which the media still completely ignores.

A fool has said in his heart there is no afterlife.

A fool has said in his heart there is an afterlife.

It’s called faith for a reason.

“If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.” — 1 Corinthians 15:32 KJV

Hedonistic, nihilistic worldview that knows nothing of God’s justice and mercy and salvation in Christ.

The problem with Leftists is that, based on their secular beliefs, there is no afterlife. Without any reason to fear judgement in the hereafter, they have no reason to consider an oath as binding, or tell the truth when a lie suits some current objective.

Solution: You can only possibly believe a Democrat when he has been tortured to the point of madness... The fear of agony MIGHT serve...

They do not believe in the protections of the Constitution for others, so why should they be permitted to hide behind them?

Guess they forgot:
“I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” Nathan Hale.

Freedom is not free. While being a Christian we know this body isn’t all there is to our being.

We also recognize living in tyranny is not an option.

He will have a chance to explain his theory of malignancy on day when he stands in front of His throne. It may not be a pleasant visit.

A Christian doesn't need to be afraid, either in this life or of the afterlife.

But there is fear in the human race. And it is the fear as that of an animal.

What about all the democrat governors actually locking people down with no authority to do so? Reality is not part of their vocabulary or thought process..

All religions since the beginning of time have had an afterlife of some sort. I guess his narrow view comes from having his head up his ass.

P.S.
Another History lesson they forgot; Battle of Thermopylae.
As just one of an ocean of examples of fighting for Freedom.

And if to lazy to read about examples of Freedom in history, they can just watch the movie ‘300’ or ‘Braveheart’.

Being Christian teaches teaches us where our Freedom comes from.

But it isn’t the only way to learn about and appreciate Freedom.

I am 69, and a non-believer. I think the lockdown was one of the worst blunders in history. COVID-19 appears to be little more than a bad flu.

Live free or die. There are worse things than death.

My actual response to the professor is that the actual university education encouraged me to be skeptical, even of information found by professionals. So no, it was the University system and the scientific method, critical thinking which made me so critiCal of them.
