We are in a spiritual battle for our freedom. Father, please strengthen our faith and give us the courage to stand and fight these battles in our lives and in our world. We are in dire need of wisdom and discernment so that we are not taken by surprise or caught unprepared. Help us to put on the armor of God so that we are able to stand firm.

Lord, please forgive our sins and help us to fully repent from even the appearance of wrongdoing. Our desire is to remain in Your presence and stay aligned with Your purposes. Faith and fear cannot exist together at the same time. We choose faith. You have commanded us more often than anything else to not be afraid. Give us the tenacity to apply this command to our lives and to help others do the same.

Lord, we pray for the debate that is to take place this evening. We bind all lying and deceit. Cause any falsehoods to fall silent to the ground. Open the public’s eyes and ears to the truth. We ask that the moderator asks pertinent questions to both parties and that the questions would be reasonable and fair to each candidate.

We are so thankful for this president and all those who are fighting for good. Please protect them and guide them. Give them courage and wisdom to lead the nation in the way You want it to go. We pray, Lord God, most importantly that Your will be done.

Lastly, Lord, we want to recite a few of the encouraging scriptures You have given us so that we can focus on You with joy in our hearts and uplifted spirits.

• Philippians 1:6 “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
• 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 “For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.”
• Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
• Psalm 37:23-24 “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”
• Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
• Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
• 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Amen. Holy Spirit, please fill the space even now. Fill Chris Wallace, fill Donald Trump, fill the viewing public. We pray for Joe Biden’s well being and soul..Nevertheless, may the darkness at work in his party be exposed for all to clearly hear and see. Father, please afford the President this time and space to lay out his record and vision without any media interruption. May his humanity emerge, as well as his heart for what is right and good. May his genuine love for the American people: of every background, lifestyle, creed, and race shine through all his responses and interactions.

I pray the tyranny of Covid ‘science’ not carry the day.
I pray any attempt to accuse of Trump of racism be flipped on its head.
I pray the President as well as moderator are afforded the opportunity to hold failed leaders of failed cities /states across the country to account for their (in)actions and hypocrisies.
I pray that Trump emerge the clear and undisputed victor of the night in this debate and the others. And of course, victory in the election itself!

Philippians 4:6-7 are two of my favorite verses in the Bible.

In order to get verse 7:

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We have to remember verse 6:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Remembering and praying these two verses has been a tremendous help to me at this time.

Also, Father, please put a guard on the Presidents mouth and prevent him from saying anything in the way of personal attacks or mockery of Joe Biden. Do not let him give the enemy anything legitimate to use against him.

Please guide him in his answers and help him to focus on policies and what he has done to date. His reocrd speaks for itself and he has plenty to draw from in that regard.
