“Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring to Your remembrance that our UNITED States of America is a Republic that was formed to honor and serve You. You promised to build up Jerusalem because You chose them, but we chose You. We ask You to build us up, to heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds. Those of us who love this Nation are broken-hearted because of what we see with our natural eyes and hear with our natural ears. BUT GOD, we remember You. You are the God Who counts the number of the stars, calling them all by name. Lord, You are great and mighty in power; Your understanding is infinite. You are the God Who lifts up the humble and casts the wicked down to the ground.
We sing to You with thanksgiving. We sing praises to our God, Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains. He gives to the beast its food, And to the young ravens that cry.
You do not delight in the strength of the horse or take pleasure in the legs of a man. You, Lord, take pleasure in those who fear You and in those who hope in Your mercy. Praise the LORD, O citizens of our U.S.A. Praise your God! Sir, strengthen the bars of our gates. Bless our children and make peace in our borders, And fill us with the finest wheat.
Send out Your command to the earth; Your word runs very swiftly. Cause Your Holy Spirit wind to blow, and the rivers of living water to flow across our land on the highways and byways gathering multitudes of souls into Your Kingdom. Praise the LORD!” Amen. (From Psalm 147)
