In Uganda, a Christian teacher was abducted from his home and dragged inside a mosque where he was beaten and burned by his colleagues at an Islamic school who planned to kill him for praying in Jesus' name.
The victim, Yusufu Mwanje, converted to Christianity earlier this year after hearing a Christian businessman who supplied equipment to the school praying to Jesus in his office. Before he lost his job after being outed as a Christian following the April 2 attack, Mwanje had led the Ibunbaz Primary School in Bugiri, Morning Star News reported.
“I wanted to keep my faith in Christ secret and began missing Friday prayers as I attended evening prayers at the church,” Mwanje said. “Some Muslim teachers noticed my absence and reported to the school management board.”
Mwanje told the school leadership he had been praying from his house.
At around 3 a.m. on April 1, an unnamed staff person overheard Mwanje praying in Christ’s name and recorded him. The following morning, the staffer gathered other schoolteachers to eavesdrop on him.

My point was Islam violates its own clear teachings, in the right context using a consistent hermeneutic. All the time. At every level.
If you are reading this and not a follower of Christ, on this Easter Day let me ask you a simple question.
Why do people rage against a man who lived 2000 years ago and never did anything or go anywhere but to preach that God wants His children to return to Him? What more could God do than be become one of us and take our punishment to reconcile us to Him?

Repentance isn’t specifically mentioned in that passage, but doesn’t have to be. Paul’s audience was souls which were already born again (Romans 1:7 ‘saints’; 1:8 ‘your faith’; 16:19 ‘your obedience’).
And Paul reminded them of the details of their conversion (Rom. 6:3,4,17,18).
He reminded them that they had before not believed in God (Rom. 11:30).
A few more for extra credit: 13:11; 14:1; and 15:30.
The context of Romans 10 is this: anybody, even the unbelieving Israelites (which he spoke of in the preceding chapter) could still be saved.

The Romans passage you refer to mentions ‘calling’ on the name of the Lord. That sounds like possible muscle movement is involved. That’s not ‘nothing’; that’s ‘something’.
The ‘nothing’ refers to self-work.

Hey sinner! Admit it, Believe in Jesus, Believe in His Work for you, Call out to Him as your only and last hope. He will save you if you are sincere.
I’m not into easy believism. In fact, the older I get - the more I see how narrow the road is for Salvation.
The poor Brother-in-Christ that suffered in the above article posted shows how difficult and arduous the Walk with Christ will be. Personally, I’ve got family members who call be a lunatic and self-righteous patriarch. None of them have threatened to kill me though - yet.
We may disagree on details, but I hope you understand I’m not taking the process of Salvation and making it a breeze.
