Look at it this way, by reducing carbon dioxide to nil (zero carbon) all plant life dependent for its growth on this natural gas, will die. By extension, all humans and animals dependent upon the oxygen that plants produce, via the conversion of carbon dioxide into oxygen, will also die. Basic biology reveals that is indeed the case.

Anyone who believes the fake science that CO2 is evil should immediately do their part and stop exhaling their own CO2.
The world will immediately become a better place.
Current CO2 level is approx. 410 PPM, which means man is responsible for only 20.5 PPM.
So a goal of carbon neutrality will do absolutely nothing.....
A trace gas. And I wouldn’t put it past these leftists to believe that they could kill off humanity, in order to save the planet. They’ve already admitted that they feel there are too many people. Scratch a lefty, and you get a mass-murdering tyrant.
Won’t reforestation solve the problem? I’m watch all the trees in Wake Forest be torn down for development projects. It’s disgusting that our leaders are bending over for tax money at the expense of nature.

There are a lot more trees in the world now than when this wasn’t a supposed problem (pre-industrial age).

Over time, the planets seeks out (and adjusts) it's own carbon stasis. Make too much carbon, plant growth accelerates and removes that carbon from the atmosphere and stores it in the earth. If the atmosphere has too little carbon, it retards plant growth and the decline in plant growth allows atmospheric CO2 to accumulate/increase.
Works good, lasts a long time, needs no batteries.
The greatest environmental/climatological event since the rise of H. Sapiens was the Toba event, ca. 74,000 years ago. It caused a "nuclear winter" which, in turn, caused an contraction in the human genome still detectable to this day. And then the earth fixed itself, by itself.
PBS “This Old House” had episodes called Net Zero about building a home. I hated hearing them keep saying that name when a home has wood and steel and fiberglass and copper and aluminum, asphalt etc. and is no way “net zero”.
