The conference succeeded by hiding the key premise, creating a false dichotomy, twisting the definition of love, and leveraging the emotions of parents.
The Bible does not treat homosexual sex or marriage as an agree-to-disagree issue. It’s univocal in its definition of sex and marriage. It’s also univocal in its prohibition of homosexual sex. Finally, it warns people who engage in such behavior that they will not inherit the kingdom of God. These are serious matters. To simply agree to disagree would be to disregard the eternal destiny of the people whom God is eager to save. Not only are people who engage in ongoing unrepentant sexual sin in jeopardy, but those who give them false hope are in danger as well.

…Andy has been presented the Way, the Truth and the Life

Even atheists admit that the Bible codifies the wisdom of millennia of human experience, and has to be obeyed.
Andy knows the Bible if just because his father taught it, but Andy went his way anyway.
It appears that Andy has decided that he will run his own life and spread his own personal gospel to his followers.
It is one thing to screw up your own life. But to lead a large number of other people astray while dishonestly relying on your father's reputation is a very grave sin.
We were warned about false prophets ("Know them by their fruits" Matthew7:15-20).
As an aside, I remember hearing Andy preach at First Baptist in Atlanta a long time ago. Andy delivered a good sermon (he was a good speaker) as his proud father sat in the first row.
But when it was over, Andy seemed very prideful about what he had done...like a child at the end of a good piano recital. I remember thinking at the time that Andy lacked his father's humility and wondered if Andy was speaking for God or for himself.

That's what's so obvious about the Woke generation. They have not just turned their backs on God, they have eschewed wisdom itself.
It won't work out well for them. They are like children playing with a loaded pistol. We can see the results of their rejection of wisdom in the news every day.
My nephew and his family have gone to this “church” for years. A couple weeks ago his 12-year-old daughter went to the ladies’ room and they was a sign posted to let people know they can talk to someone at the church if they want to “come out” (of the closet).
Even at a relatively young age, she was disturbed by it and says she wants to go to a “more traditional” church. I’m impressed by her discernment. They’ve been looking for a church in the area that actually follows the Bible.
Dr. Stanley must be on full-spin-cycle.

Neither Andy nor the church that helps children or other Christians to come out of the closet are led by the Holy Spirit. Lacking discernment they (Andy and the church) are blindly running after another spirit...the Luciferian spirit attempting to uncreate human nature and then recreate a new species.

I have been reading Proverbs at night over the last week (on Audible—see homepage for free link to same on youtube) and note that it doesn’t speak so much about God as it does wisdom. As much as wisdom comes from God, it is still a requirement for successful living even for atheists.

Prayer To Be Guided Into All Truth
Heavenly Father, I come to You in poverty of spirit, to seek Your face during a time when the truth of Your Word seems to be being attacked on every side, and few seem to know or understand about the truth of Scripture. Father, it is sometimes hard to know what is true in a world when everything to do with God is being attacked, not only in the secular arena but in many Christian ministries as well.
You promised that Your Holy Spirit would guide Your children into all truth, especially those that seek You with all their whole hearts and Lord, I want to seek You and know You more and more but Lord, I do not want to be influenced by wrong doctrine or false teaching.
Keep me I pray, and guide me in my life as I read Your Word and study the scriptures. Prevent me Lord, from being swept into the many false doctrines that are sweeping through Christendom today. Give me a discerning heart I pray, and help me to find a teacher that will teach me the whole council of Your Word of Truth so that I may grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank You Father, in Jesus’ name I pray,

Prayer For All Who Reject The Truth Of God’s Word
Heavenly Father, I lift up all those who have rejected the truth of Your Word and are seeking after the humanistic ways of the world. Lord, I know that Satan is the father of lies and his great desire is to lead many away from the path of truth in Christ Jesus. I ask Lord, that You would thwart his malicious plans, and use the satanic agenda and the humanistic lies that are hurting so many people, to be the very instrument that will cause many to question the values that they have held dear, and to turn them from their worldly ways and seek the Lord Jesus while He may be found, for He is the One and Only Truth and He is the Way and the Life and the Light, and He is the only Hope for mankind.
Raise up I pray, an army of prayer warriors that will be prepared to seek Your face and to stand in the gap for those that have been swept into the lies of the humanistic agenda. May the truth of Your Word become a beacon of light to those that are in need of a Saviour, and I pray that the lies of the enemy will be exposed so that many that are heading for an eternity of separation from the Father, may be swept into the kingdom of His dear Son, to Your praise and glory.
Your Word is truth. May the truth of Your Word ring in the ears of all who are perishing and bring many perishing people to salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray,

My nephew is desperate to find a good church where his girls can grow up.

We,all of us,have to know normal is not going to return and perhaps really is just a setting on a clothes dryer. Hanging onto the hope of status quo prevents us from moving forth in what have been chosen to do. "Abnormals" need the witness we must share until Jesus comes to snatch us away and it has become harder to share the gospel than ever before. None the less,His instructions are to continue His work.Bless you Madame. I am a member of a Baptist Church where only the Word is preached and reference to a denomination is seldom mentioned. I would say in all honesty that this church is a true Bible Church. We have been put off by denominational church dogma for a while now. Tell your nephew he may find a church home in a very surprising place!

One thing Dad did during his ministry was give an annual class (four Sundays in one month) to the youth group in Baptist Distinctives. I think it’s important to understand the denomination and its roots. I don’t consider it dogma, but education. (That goes for any denomination, not just Baptist. People need to know what their churches believe, and why, to be fair to themselves.)
I would attend a non-Baptist Church, and I have. It has to be totally Scriptural and fundamental in theology.
