Birth control is not a Mormon issue.
Some low estrogen birth control pills are known to act as a very early abortifacient. Do Mormons make a distinction?
In general, Mormons seem open to large families and even if they don't have a formal rule against contraception, they don't seem too excited about shutting down operations.

We don’t look at things like that as shutting down operations. We simply encourage family. If you ever hear the phrase, “Families are forever” you know it’s a Mormon saying it.
Families are YUGELY encouraged in the church and larger than average families come with the territory. However some Mormon marriages do not have big families. Not a big deal.
