Easter is mostly "tied" to Passover. In many languages, they even have the same name. The 4th C church elected to tie the dating of Easter partially to the solar calendar, rather than to the pure lunar system the Jewish calendar uses, which is why the dates of Passover and Easter diverge sometimes (like this year) and coincide others.
Saturnalia didn't exactly coincide with Christmas, and it's completely possible that Dies Natalie Solis invictus was a pagan attempt to piggyback on Christmas, not the reverse.

So why do we celebrate with a sunrise Sunday Easter service (Son Rise) if Jesus didn’t rise until Sunday night, or 72 hours, MONDAY Morning?
Y’all thinking way too much about the wrong things. Have Faith, receive Grace and Redemption. Keep the Faith, brothers and sisters.

I was wondering about that. I always thought the Last Supper was a Passover seder. But this year Passover isn’t until late April.

I taught this 15 years ago.
It’s nice to discuss, but it doesn’t impact the gospel one iota. It’s not even a 2nd tier issue.

“Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday.. “
Of course He was. Anybody who can count to three figured that out a long time ago. “Good Friday” ... Not.

On a related note, is it inevitable that the way we count years will be ‘addressed’ by the hateful left? BC/AD is a Christian concept. Already happened decades ago!
Read any modern history book:
previosly B.C.
- CE: Common Era previously A.D.

Lunar calendars have to have a lot more "fixups" to stay in synch with the solar year. The Jewish calendar uses a leap month, not day, seven years out of every 19. Those Jewish leap months -- one of which fell during March of this year -- tend to push Passover later. Meanwhile, Easter occurred unusually early.

What I have always found interesting is the word “Santa” has the same five letters of the word “Satan” though arranged differently. Another interesting word is “dog”. Dogs love us and will do anything for us.
Now, spell the word “dog” backwards. Now ask yourself, how is your relationship with God?
To: Hot Tabasco
You are probably being facetious, but obviously no one living in BC times would have used the “BC” year. For example, in Rome the practice was to identify the year by reference to who was consul (or Emperor). The Jews had their own calendar which purported to go all the way back to Creation.
