Every morning, I break all the time honored rules of Writing. As I stare at the computer screen, set up the template so that the daily Threads are consistent, and ponder the Scripture for that day, I often have no idea what I am going to write. There is no outline to follow, no plan for what is next, or filing cabinet full of stories to draw from. In this particular series, I researched several websites and printed out lists of the names of God, which were in no particular order, except maybe alphabetical. Then, I cross them off as I explore them one at a time.

My morning Bible Reading over coffee sometimes coincides with the Thread, but not always. And then there is LIFE itself. Speaking of "Life", my niece is in the hospital right now having her second baby. So I may be interrupted!

Sometimes I feel impelled to draw examples from a Childhood Memory, Pop Culture, or a Current Event. Who knows where the Thread will go, from STAR TREK, to Tattoos, to Motorcycles, to Trees, Sheds, and Baby Bunnies in the yard.

The Lord always gives me something. It is usually at the last minute, but always right on time.

Aside from penning Song Lyrics, I was never much of a writer. But somehow, something comes to me every morning, and has been for fourteen years. That's the longest time I have ever stuck with Anything!

There is much speculation about Moses and his "Speech Impediment". Was he a stutterer? Did he have a form of Aphasia? Or was he just awkward and shy around people in authority? There is no real explanation, or other mention of it. Maybe he was just arguing with God and using his speech as an excuse. Certainly, in every depiction of Moses either in Scripture or Movies, he seems to have no trouble expressing himself. Charlton Heston has the most mellifluous voice that I can listen to him narrating without the use of subtitles. (There are a number of documentaries that are narrated by Heston, and they are like music to my ears). Imagine if the whole first hour of The Ten Commandments showed young Prince Moses stuttering and stammering through Pharaoh's Court.

Nevertheless, Moses says his speech is impaired, and he can't possibly approach Pharaoh to free his People.

God's response is explosive:

And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?

Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

God tells Moses that, when Moses is at a loss for Words, God will provide.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
